We had a great day with Fernando (our guide) and Edgar (our driver). Fernando was very knowledgeable and really brought the various Inca sites to life. They ensured a smooth experience despite my daughter’s altitude sickness. Much appreciated and highly recommended.
Took 2 tours with this company. Communicated directly with them on Whatsapp. Communication is good. The first tour was pick up at hotel in Cusco and drop off at a hotel in Ollaytantambo. Along the way the driver took us to visit Chinchero, Maras, and Moray. All in all the tour lasted 6 hours. The driver William is excellent. He is a great driver. We had a second tour a few days later. I wrote and said we sure wouldn't mind seeing William again. They let me know that he may or may not be available. Fair enough. This is a business. The second tour was a direct drive from the Ollaytantambo train station to our hotel in Cusco. We get off the train and lo and behold there's William. He took us to Cusco. This is a great company. Every part of the experience was good. The price is good. I would certainly use this company again. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone wanting to do tours from Cusco. Thanks.
Our private tour from Cusco to Ollantaytambo through the Sacred Valley was a wonderful and impressive experience from beginning to end. The planning in advance was done via email and was very friendly and professional - our special requests were taken into account and optimized within the framework of the day tour. Our guide Ferdinand and our driver Edgar accompanied us through the day in an extremely competent and experienced manner. We saw and learned a lot, and the visit to a musical instrument shop in Pisac resonated throughout the rest of the trip. The very personal advice regarding an upcoming Ayahuasca retreat and the conversations about spirituality and our place in the universe also enriched our time together. We can recommend Cusco Local Friend without reservation, and it is truly as if you were traveling with local friends!
Gerson was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour lasted around 10 hours and they picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. The water in the taxi was really appreciated too! The tour was completely tailored to us, and felt very personalized. We never felt rushed and he ordered the sites to ensure they were not too crowded. Gerson answered every question we had with expert knowledge. I would completely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the sacred valley.
Cusco local friend is just the best to book directly with. They respond with email and WhatsApp any questions promptly. We wanted a customized itinerary- they were happy to put it together for us, and adjust timing to make it work for us to get a little later start. Our guide Gerson was amazing. He was knowledgeable, and offered to stay longer or hike higher up if we’d like at every spot. We had all of our bags with us, so the driver stayed with them the whole day to make sure all was safe. I highly recommend booking directly with Cusco Local Friend (not viator or another 3rd party). They really give you the best deal money wise and in customizing your experience.
We had an amazing time! Everything was coordinated perfectly by our guide, Abraham. It was non-stop fun, activities, amazing scenery, incredible history, great food, and wonderfully polite and respectful people. I truly recommend more people to take this tour because it was unmatched.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Our driver went above and beyond—not only coordinating with the kind person who found my wallet, but also taking us to an ATM when we realized our hotel didn’t have one. We truly appreciated how much he looked out for us. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, making every stop feel special and memorable. We especially appreciated that he never pressured us to shop or purchase anything. Despite having many opportunities to do so, he remained completely independent and simply focused on giving us the best possible experience. Throughout the day we felt like VIPs—safe, well cared for, never rushed, and never overexerted. The itinerary was perfectly paced, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. We would recommend this tour without hesitation.
Step aside boring history teachers! In this full day tour, Abraham will share a full overview of the Incan empire with such contagious joy that the hours will fly by. We learned so much about the rich history of this region and the beautiful people who have called it home for all these years. If you only do one tour in the valley, do this one!
Our tour was absolutely phenomenal, and that is entirely thanks to our incredible guide Ruben. If you are looking for an experience that goes far beyond the standard tourist facts, this is the tour to book. Our guide’s depth of knowledge regarding Inca history and culture was truly impressive. Instead of just rattling off dates and names, they brought the history to life with captivating storytelling, explaining the deep spiritual, architectural, and agricultural significance behind everything we saw. We left the tour with a much deeper understanding of the Inca civilization. Highest recommendations!
This was a very well rounded tour of major archaeological sites of the Sacred Valley. We were picked up on time and had an amazing time throughout the day. As a traveler in a new area, it felt very good to have a local guide that was extremely familiar with all the areas. They grew up here and it showed, both in their confident understanding of navigation, as well as their knowledge about when to go where, what routes to take, and how to maximize the time that we're given. If we had planned better, we would have liked to have a second tour of the rest of the valley with them. We're grateful for their time and would highly recommend.
