Everything went very smoothly on our transportation from Zeebrugge to Bruges and return. I would book them again .
Other travellers should be warned that there are several shuttle services used to get to Brugges. Consequently we lined up at the wrong queue because of lack of signage before being pointed in the right direction. Once we found the Viator queue, things went very smoothly.
Cruise Port Shuttle service from Zebrugge to Brugge: New, large comfortable bus with half hour turn around at each end. (very efficient). Friendly staff who were sadly put under pressure because there was only one staff member to both sell transfer tickets and check-in pre-sold tickets. (Very unfair to the staff member!). Two signs, one for purchasing tickets and one for pre-sold tickets resulted in a huge line of customers who formed two lines as indicated but needed to merge into one. (some very disgruntled customers believing they were being pushed out of the line.)
Upon arrival at the port we made our way to the lineup for the prepurchased tickets which was easy to find. However the staff for loading the bosses were very disorganized. They were arguing and gesturing with each other while busses were sitting waiting to be loaded while people were standing around. They seemed unsure and confused. If they get this sorted out it would be a good option vs the cruise line
Easy transport into Bruge with a dedicated bus drop off point. Advertised as having 2 lines in Zeebrugge to collect tickets- one for prepaid and one to purchase tickets but only 1 person serving. I am not sure why we needed to queue to collect a paper ticket. The company should allow the Viator voucher to be proof of purchase. Having said that Bruges is glorious.
Total chaos getting our prepaid tickets. Once we got them it went smoothly. We stood in a line for almost 40 minutes. There were only 2 people handing them out.
We had a very good time! Very organized! No problem, hassle free. I would recommend this to my family and friends!
Shuttle was convenient and on time. It was good to get our tickets ahead of time because there was a long line of people trying to buy tickets
The workers were rude and there was a lack of information about where to meet and where the return location in Bruges was. We were one of the first busses to leave the cruise terminal in the morning, but our driver was new and kept taking wrong turns and the trip took much longer than it should have and many other busses beat us to the location. On the return trip, they continued to make us sit well past the advertised 20 minutes because there were three seats available. Ultimately they overloaded the bus. The last three passengers to get on were elderly and the bus driver immediately started driving before these poor people realized there were no seats left. My husband and two others gave up their seats and stood so that the elderly passengers could have a seat. Unacceptable and unsafe experience.
Despite numerous past reviews about chaotic check-in process, nothing has changed. Staff seemed surprised by arrival of several port shuttle buses from our mid size cruiseship. Paper lists of pre-booked passengers were laboriously checked, no scanning of bar codes, while new cash customers were quickly given tickets. The line for pre-booked tickets was substantially longer than line for those buying new tickets. They bought tickets and were on their way much sooner. What happened to Viator website quote “by booking online we ensure you that you will be treated with priority.”
