Rock Springs 2-Hour Glass Bottom Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Description
Enjoy a unique kayaking experience on this Small-Group Guided Glass Bottom Kayak Eco Tour of Rock Springs in Florida. Begin your tour with a quick tutorial on basic paddle instructions and information about the tour ahead. Your kayak tour will last approximately 2 to 2.5-hours depending on the speed of our group and any wildlife we may see along the way. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop and take pictures at several of the picturesque stopping points along the way (there will even be a couple chances for you to get out and enjoy the refreshing Spring water!) The first half of the paddle will be upstream towards the headspring of Rock Springs and the second half will be a gentle coast back to our launch point. Be ready to learn unique facts about the area and spot the local nature and wildlife along the way. Animals you may see: turtles, birds, fish, otters, deer, alligators, and more!

Amazing day Kayaking with Megan. Fantastic host, she gave helpful guidance and showed us the best stops to make our day first class! Beautiful clear water, and rhe setting was visually beautiful. Opportunity to stop, rest, swim, jump in! Aged from 6 to 53 everyone of us loved it. Highly recommend ! And if you land Megan you’ve truly knocked it off!! ❤️
Megan was so patient and helpful. She knew a lot about the area making it a super fun and relaxing trip. Water is really crystal clear and felt great for a quick dip.
Has a great time on the Rock Springs glass bottom kayak trip with our lovely guide Megan. Beautiful place! Megan was excellent at leading our group, and very knowledgeable. Saw otters swimming by us! Thanks very much for a wonderful experience!!!
Rock Springs truly is a slice of paradise! We're so glad you had a blast with Megan - she's the best!! We love when the wildlife decides to show off for our guests!!
Amazing- Megan, with all those details thing
Thank you so much for your 5 star review!!
Loved this kayak trip with my phenomenal guide Megan. The springs were perfectly clear and no more than 6 feet deep, albeit a bit crowded because it was a holiday. It was a nice paddle upstream with several spots to jump out in and swim in shallow water. Megan gave us history and took photos. The parking situation is a mess though, with most people basically having to park in a ditch alongside a two lane road. While I would highly recommend this tour, I do believe that it is worth noting experienced kayakers and those on a budget could easily rent kayaks directly from Kings Landing for a significantly lower price and do the same paddle themselves as it is a straight out and back. I saw a lot of people doing this and hanging out at swimming spots for longer to enjoy lunch. Overall, I enjoyed this about a million times more than the theme parks and will do this tour over Disney the next time I’m in Orlando.
Thank you so much for the awesome review! We're thrilled to hear you had such a great time on the water with Megan. She'll be so happy to hear your kind words. We're glad you enjoyed the springs, swimming spots, and the chance to learn a little history along the way. Hearing that you enjoyed your tour more than the theme parks may be one of the best compliments we could receive! Thanks again for paddling with us, and we hope to see you back on the springs the next time you're in Orlando!
Our experience was great. We had a terrific guide. David was knowledgeable, great with kids/teens and enthusiastic.
Thank you so much for your kind words about our guide, David! He's the best!
Best to schedule an early experience so you can mitigate the parking mayhem. Know that even if you complete an online waiver for Get Up and Go, you will have to complete another one on site with the owners of the property. Go inside the cottage that has a sign for registration. That line can be very long depending on when you arrive. If you wore shoes or sandals , that’s ok - you will remove them and they will be kept in a safe place. The “clear” kayaks are actually kind of scratched up, so not completely clear. However, the paddle through the Emerald Cut on the Rock Springs Run is absolutely gorgeous. It is not difficult. Our guide (whose name escapes me) was very good. She had to spend a lot of time with some of the inexperienced paddlers in the group. We didn’t mind - it gave us time to just drift and take in the beautiful scenery. We were here on a weekday and although it wasn’t crowded when we started, by the time we were on the return trip it was much more so. Some of those without guides don’t know how to be safe. Also there are sections where you can get out of the kayak and splash around a bit. These areas were crowded. None of these issues were the fault of the Get Up and Go people, hence the 5 star review. Hope this info will be helpful to others!
Thank you so much for the detailed and thoughtful review! We're thrilled you enjoyed the beauty of the Emerald Cut and had a great experience with your guide. We also appreciate you sharing helpful tips for future guests regarding arrival times and parking. Thanks for paddling with us and for recognizing that some of the busier spring conditions are outside of our control. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!
Amazing experience from start to finish! Our guide, Megan, was absolutely wonderful — very welcoming, friendly, and made everyone feel comfortable right away. The tour itself was fantastic. The company provides very detailed instructions multiple times and explains everything clearly, including how to find the launch site and avoid the traffic. Just follow the instructions and trust the professionals like Megan — they know exactly what they’re doing. Highly recommend!
Megan is the best and we're so glad you thought so too!! We cannot thank you enough for your kind 5 star review and we hope to see you again next time!
Great guide! She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and saved our neck for more than once. Thanks for the memories.
Thank you for exploring with us and our clear kayaks!! We're so glad you had a blast!
This clear kayak tour was beautiful and Megan our guide was absolutely amazing!! She was so kind and personable, and she even took pictures for everyone on the tour. The pacing was perfect but I recommend coming on a weekday if you can! Lots of shade throughout the run so it was just perfect!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're so glad you had a blast exploring with Megan!
