The Hāna Highway is a 64.4-mile long stretch of spectacular views of rainforest, waterfalls, beaches and coastline. On the east after Kalepa Bridge, the highway continues to Kīpahulu on the Piilani Highway. Although Hāna is only about 52 miles from Kahului, it takes about 2.5 hours to drive when no stops are made as the highway is very winding and narrow and passes over 59 bridges, 46 of which are only one lane wide. There are approximately 620 curves along Route 360 from just east of Kahului to Hāna, virtually all of it through lush, tropical rainforest. Many of the concrete and steel bridges date back to 1910 and all but one are still in use. This full-day trip to the Hana coast has the best scenic drive along the shorelines of Maui.

The Hana Highway is a 64.4-mile-long (103.6 km) , longest, coastal scenic route in the world. To the east of Kalepa Bridge, the highway continues to Kipahulu as Hawaii Route 31 (the Piilani Highway). This tour covers 59 single lane bridges, over 640 turns and curves, through lush, tropical rainforest. Most of the concrete and steel bridges date back to 1910.
Ho'okipa Beach is considered the windsurfing capital of the world, you can enjoy watching wind surfers, kite boarders and surfers challenge the oceans waves and shoreline winds. This is also the Threatened Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle capital of Maui, with 200-pound turtles feeding along the shoreline and basking on the beach all day long. Stops made upon request. small Hawaiian villages doing their best to live like the Hawaiians of old. Hunting pigs and growing taro, bread fruit, and Bananas are all big parts of everyday life in this small community. It’s also the site of the famous Half Way to Hana Snack stand; shave ice, fresh coconut, cold drinks and of course the Original Fresh Baked Banana Bread. The Keanae overlook and peninsula offer views of one of the largest taro farms in Hawaii.
A very popular set of falls because it is photogenic and situated like a drive-thru right on the road. We do have the upper waterfalls which is also called the Three Bears Waterfalls. Picture taking while passing by.

• Wainapanapa is Maui’s famous Black Sand Beach. Cobalt blue Ocean surrounded by black sand and black lava rocks from a recent flow only 10,000 years ago. Go for a walk along the edge of the bay and check out the blue water or just sit under a nice shade tree. This location is a great place to spend an hour relaxing, taking in one of the islands most beautiful locales. Fresh Water Caves and Lava Tubes • We take you to volcanic caves which you could explore. And if you are lucky you could witness the legend of the caves come alive. It is fairly easy to access the waterfall from here. Some people like to take a dip in the chilly waters by the waterfall and on a hot day. Wear swim suit layered and bring change of clothes. Don't forget the towels.

This is the highlight of our Vacation Road to Hana we have seen a lot of Waterfalls and beautiful views of the Hana ..Sean the Driveris the BEST..he always when to get our camera ready and the view is literally almost there hd will tell you start the camera now..We stop to have breakfast..lunch and stop at a small store to buy souvenir and banana bread a must try its incredible they have different flavor I like thd MACADEMIA NUT and my Son likes thd original flavor..then off to Black Beach oh my what a beautiful to see and we got to swim for 40 min ..Thank you Sean the Boys 17 hunter 13 greyson 9 Sam adores you ..made their early waking up so worth it 👌

His knowledge of Maui, its history, culture, and hidden gems was incredible, and his sense of humor kept us smiling all day long. We always felt safe navigating the winding Road to Hana thanks to his expert driving. And here’s the bonus we never expected…John is an incredibly talented photographer! 📸 He knew all the best spots, the perfect angles, and somehow captured the most beautiful photos of us without ever making it feel like a photoshoot. We came home with stunning memories we’ll treasure forever—photos we could never have taken on our own. From breathtaking waterfalls and black sand beaches to lush bamboo forests and spectacular ocean views, every stop was thoughtfully planned and unforgettable. The tour itself was wonderful. The driver/narrator, Leepa, was awesome!! She gave such great information, very sweet, personable and part of our Ohana now!! The only bad thing was the walk to the van. It was described as a short walk. My sister and I are both on walking canes and could never have made it. We had to get a taxi to get there and encountered lots of problems and issues to acheive that and caused us to be late for the van. If we had known really how far it was, we could have made arrangements in advance. I wish you could have picked up at a closer location. Otherwise, awesome trip even with the rain on the way back. The lunch was very good too!! I tried the musubi for the first time. Our party of 11 had a great time!!
This was a long but informative trip. Our driver was friendly and knew a lot about the road and even would tell us when to start filming to get the best shots of the waterfalls and trees and such. I enjoyed it and would recommend it.
It's a long day, but we'll worth it. Kobi was great, gave us plenty of time at each stop and aways had a joke
Don’t try and do this trip in your own. Not worth it. They don’t nickname it “divorce highway” for nothing. This tour lets you see everything safely and without issues. I would highly recommend it.
Knowledgeable driver made it more interesting. Be prepared for rough riding due to many sharp curves. Beautiful scenery including waterfalls and mountain views. Bathroom stops at state parks are less than desirable (no soap or hand dryer,dirty floors). Enjoyed the small roadside food and gift stands.
We will always remember our day "surviving the road to Hana". We will call it our Heavenly tour because our guide, Heavenly, was fabulous and then some!!! Heavenly told us about the customs of nature Hawaiians, the meaning of many Hawaiian words, local lore, landmarks, native plants, and outlooks on the road to Hana. Heavenly was kind, empathetic, and compassionate especially to one person in the tour that had motion sickness. We valued our time with Heavenly and could not imagine having a better day or a better tour guide. Thank you so much Heavenly.
Fantastic ride with Malia, she explained all the things we were passing by and was clearly very capable as both a driver and tour guide. Super friendly, fantastic experience and provided insight that no one would get on the drive alone. Highly highly recommend booking a tour with her/ this company. Instead of having to focus on staying on the road if we drove, we were able to take in all the sights while being told what to look for and it was well worth it.
We had the best guide for our trip to Hana. Justine is a native of Maui & very knowledgeable as well as personable. He not only shared his knowledge with all of us - but encouraged us to ask questions. We stopped at local food stands & stops with beautiful scenery. We saw many waterfalls & local foliage & trees. We were served a breakfast of Musabi & a great sandwich for lunch. Water was available throughout the day. I highly recommend this tour - but be sure you ask for Justine as your tour guide & tip him well!!
