Rio's Secluded Beaches: Prainha & Grumari Hike and Swim (small group or private)
Description
The tour visits the West part of Rio de Janeiro, that remains untouched with a lot of nature and secluded beaches. We'll follow the coastline, passing by 5 different beaches (São Conrado, Barra, Reserva, Recreio and Macumba). We first stop at Prainha, a small and protected beach considered the surf spot in Rio where you'll hike 1,5h to Caeté Summit (253m=830ft) that ofers a great view of the coast and other mountains of Rio. From Prainha, in a 5 more min. drive we reach Grumari, our last stop and where we stay to enjoy the beach for about 3h. Grumari it´s also a protected area and you'll enjoy an amazing and paradisiac tropical beach with white and fine grain sands, green mountains and clear waters (bring towel and bathing suit).

- Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries

- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Hike details: 2,8km (1.8miles) (up and down rough terrain), 1,5h, elev. gain 253m=830ft.
- Maximum of 6 participants on the tour.
- Not recommended for child under 8 and they must be accompanied by an adult.
- Passport name, number and date of birth are required at time of booking for all participants (for insurance)
- Some fitness required. About 1,5h of hike - easy trail but going up and down on rough terrain. NO technical rock climbing, just hiking.
- Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to rainy weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund

Wonderful place, much heat and the trail made us sweat well rsrs. But the beautiful tour, I really liked Guia Renata, very friendly and explained very well the journey we did.

The walk was very good, it included some hiking in Prainha, and then I had the option to choose between this beach and Grumari, which I preferred because it was less crowded. Santiago, my guide, was attentive during the hiking, also giving me information about the history of Brazil and recent events. I highly recommend Jungle me, for their professionalism and attention to detail.

If in Rio you must take a day to see the beautiful beaches outside of the city and the magic of the Tijuca Forest. Fun day and we even learned a lot about the history of Brazil.

Excellent tour that combines a trail in the Atlantic forest and the afternoon on the most isolated beaches in Rio de Janeiro: Prainha and Grumari. For me, it was a perfect day: the trail in the bush was nice, with a beautiful view at the end. Our guide Thiago shared a lot of information about nature, the history of Rio de Janeiro, it was quite enriching. After that, we walked to the beach of Grumari and spent the rest of the afternoon there, enjoying the beauty of the sea, without a lot of people around. For people who want to enjoy the beauty of Rio with light physical activity and enjoyable beach, I recommend.
