Itinerary
First departing stop for your tour. Please arrive at Brooke Street Pier at least 10 minutes prior to the schedule departure.
Sit back and relax on your purpose built sightseeing buses as we take you on a 50 minute journey from the Hobart Waterfront to the summit of kunanyi/Mt Wellington
We pass through South Hobart a historic suburb of Hobart. Once settled by early merchants and doctors Davey Street where we traveled along is lined with beautiful Georgian Architectural design homes, designed by Henry Hunter.
Fern Tree is Hobart's mountain suburb. Name after the Tasmanian Tree fern which grows abundantly in this area.
Located midway up Kunanyi/ Mount Wellington on the Pinnacle Road.
Once we reach the summit of kunanyi/ Mt Wellington you will have 40 minutes to explore the summit's lookout and observations decks which provide panoramic views of Hobart and its surrounding suburbs. (subject to weather conditions on the day)
Once you have captured all those fantastic views from the Summit there is a picturesque 50 minute journey back to Hobart city. Look out of the bus windows and enjoy the Alpine scenery on both sides of the road. You may even spot one of the 100's of animals that call Kunanyi home!

The mountain tour component of your combo tour finishes at Brooke Street Pier. You will have 30 minutes free time to explore the Hobart Waterfront, its attractions and cafes.
At 12.20pm please return back to Brooke Street Pier for a 12.30pm Richmond tour departure on the Coal River Valley Explorer Bus.
Crossing to the eastern shore of Hobart we drive over the River Derwent on the Tasman Bridge.
The Richmond Bridge is Australia's oldest bridge still in use. Built by convicts in 1823
Australia's oldest Catholic Church
You will have 3 hours free time to explore historic Richmond Village which is full of historic sights, unique antique and giftware shops and charming cafes. Free walking map provided.

This tour is two separate ones so the first bus goes at 9.30am and the second to Richmond at 12.30. Both of the tour drivers were knowledgeable and engaging. Lots of information about the local areas and history. Definitely recommend 😊

Great day , driver gave plenty of info and points if interest , rug up well for Mt Wellington very cold and windy for February. Views spectacular. Enjoyed our visit to Richmond , cute town . Old Goal visit interesting and a must do.
