In this tour, Trekkingtoursapa’s guide will take you to visit 5 different villages of the Hmong, Giay, and Red Dao ethnic minorities. The tour will give you the chance to enjoy fantastic mountain landscapes as well as to see Sapa’s biggest river and valley. You will also see the famous rice terrace fields and learn more about the culture, customs, and traditions of the three main different ethnic minorities in Sapa. Our tour guide will also introduce you to Hmong’s unique marriage traditions, rice fields, work and house building techniques, and much more!

We will meet at your hotel in Sapa town OR in front of Sapa’s main church When you arrive in Sapa, if you have the internet on your phone, please try to search on the google map this address call: "Notre Dame Cathedral Sapa" or " Nha Tho Da Sapa " in Vietnamese When you arrive there if you do not see our guide or we have not arrive there yet. You will see many people invite you to join their tour, but please keep your time waiting for us, we will arrive soon.

She has been a great guide, who has accompanied us and cared for us very fondly. He has shared with us his customs and has answered all our questions. The experience is great, although you have to be prepared for the heat and humidity.

Incredible experience from start to finish! The scenery was breathtaking, and our guide Sang was outstanding. She is knowledgeable, encouraging, and always supportive. Everything was well-organized. The overnight stay with a local family provided an authentic impression. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable outdoor adventure!

The views were stunning and the people in the villages really friendly, but be aware of that half of the track is following a paved road with regular motorbike traffic. Also there were multiple areas where we were walking with 5 or 6 groups in a row. We have done many trekkings across Asia, but this was by far the least ‘off the beaten tracks’. But good if you’re into a nice hike. Also the guide was not very engaging. When we arrived at the home stay, she casually mentioned she was going home and would pick us up the next day. When she was there the next morning she sat in a corner of the room with her back towards us, watching tv on her phone, until we asked if we could start. So views are phenomenal, track is easy to do, quite crowded depending on the season, so pretty decent experience. Finally the homestay was ok, but missing the engagement with the family we’ve had in other trekkings. Could have been related to the corn harvesting which occupied most of the family, but it felt more like we were tolerated than welcomed.

Regarding the route: you're right that some parts of certain treks follow paved roads, especially during the rainy season when alternative off-road trails can be too muddy or unsafe. However, we understand how that may take away from the “off the beaten path” experience you were hoping for, and we are currently working on diversifying our routes based on guest feedback like yours. About the guide and the homestay experience: we sincerely apologize for the lack of engagement you felt. That’s not the level of warmth and attention we strive to provide. Your comments have already been shared with our team and the guide in question so we can better train and support them in offering more attentive and personal service. Finally, you're right that corn harvesting season can affect how much time the host family spends with guests — but even so, we absolutely want our travelers to feel genuinely welcomed. We'll review how we prepare our hosts during busy times to ensure every visitor still feels at home. Thank you again for joining us and for helping us improve.
