Reykjavik Street Food Walking Tour

Description
The Reykjavik Street Food Walking tour offered by CityWalk (local fam. company) is a unique experience in town. Its a smaller group tour than any other food tour and the restaurants are carefully selected as well as the guides. Together this combination beats all other activities in the city. The company goes back to 2014 and many of the guides are full time ever since which is unheard of in Iceland. Together we have assembled for you a great variety of food to try whilst walking through the town. We will take you by the major landmarks of the city whilst narrating history, architecture and local tidbits. This mouthwatering experience will leave you in a food coma afterwards!

What a great intro to the walkable city of Reykjavik. Marteinn welcomed us at the Old Harbour House where we started the afternoon with an Icelandic hotdog & lobster soup. Onto pastries and so much more. We learned about culture and history through out. It was a fun and laid back tour where we felt welcomed at all of our stops. Ending at Café Loki with delicious rye bread ice cream. Thanks CityWalk!
A perfect way to begin our Iceland vacation. Nori was full of stories and information and good humor. The food was fabulous, more than we could eat. An easy walking experience, never rushed, never boring. Highly recommend.
Excellent informative tour by Ausi. Great food. We learned a lot about the culture and cuisine. Even tried the shark.
Great experience with Marteen- informative and great food selection.
This was a great experience that we felt was worth the money. We tried a range of traditional foods in a variety of outlets around the city. Things we would not normally have tried. Martin, our guide, was very good. He was knowledgeable about the city, its history and architecture as well as the food. The small group had a very good vibe and we enjoyed meeting our fellow diners.
Professional Informative educational & fun. Great range of Icelandic food with knowledgeable explanations. The walk between the different tastings pointed out city tourist attractions & historical information. Our guide Martin was very professional, knowledgeable, personable & made the decision experience well worth it.
This tour and Tour Guide top notch! Our guide Osi( probably messed up his spelling) was so good and kind. My group was very skeptical of Icelandic foods but I convinced to keep an open mind. Well it paid off because the tastes on the tour were fun things! We ate pastries, candy, the famous Icelandic hot dog which ever said was best hot dog ever!, delicious cod and ended it with rye bread ice cream! All while learning the history of this fascinating county! Special shout out to our guy as I am a pescatarian and don’t eat meat but Osi suggested to eat all the toppings on the bun to have the experience and it was so delicious! I am so grateful for such a kind gesture and suggestion. This City Walk tour company is the best!
Asi / City Walk Reykjavik was our guide and did an excellent job! This tour was a walking tour, yet so casual and not rushed. We tried soooo many traditional Icelandic foods and he also added a lot of information about Reykjavik and Iceland. Great tour and I would definitely recommend it!
Great introduction to Reykjavik and Icelandic food. Asi was a fantastic guide, very personable and genuine. We have recommended Asi and CityWalk already to family and friends and will continue to do so. Thanks again we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Chris, Toronto, Canada
Marteinn was a fantastic local tour guide who knows the city so well! The value of the tour was excellent as we hit every major food recommendation you can find for Reykjavik! With just two of us it was less than 3 hours, but well worth the time all the same! If you want to experience the best of Iceland's food culture, this is the place to get started!
