Rental Buggy Adventures in Astoria

Really, really fun! We turned heads wherever we went. We decided to do this during our cruise ship stop since no rental cars were available. We were met as promised just outside the dock area. Enjoyed the local sights in Astoria, had lunch in Seaside, and even drove on the beach to see the shipwreck. This isba fun and unique way to see the sights of this lovely town.

We had a blast driving around in the Beach Buggy during our visit to Astoria, OR. We were originally planning to tour the town on foot and possibly visit Seaside which is a small coastal town near Astoria. However, getting there and back by Uber was over $100 and a 30 minute wait for a car. We stumbled upon Jared with Oregon Buggy Excursions and rented his buggy for a day and it has been a highlight of our trip so far. We drove over to Seaside to visit Lewis and Clark’s End of the Trail Monument, did some shopping and had lunch. Jared suggested we drive on the beach on our way back. I jumped on his recommendation since you can’t do this in California! We drove to see the skeletal remains of the famous Peter Iredale Shipwreck that was beached over 120 years ago. People smiled and waved to us the entire time! Heading back we stopped by the Goonies house and that was a pleasant surprise as well. Went up the hill and stopped at the Astoria Column for the most amazing 360* view overlooking Astoria. We quenched our thirst at Astoria Brewing before heading back to our Cruise ship where Jared met us to collect his awesome buggy. Hassle free rental process which took less than 5 minutes.
