Varied types of stops, enjoyable. The cheese and yogurt making plant was really great and the tastings were fun.
It was a good trip but I thought the time at the castle was a bit rushed and then we had too much time at Lindt. The driver was our guide as well. He was good. I went on this trip because I wanted to see the Abbey and that was wonderful.
Great time with ample time for each stop. Castles were cool, cheese was amazing, and woah chocolate!!! And more chocolate. Our guide Peter was informative and friendly the entire day. I would recommend this trip to all of my friends!
Excellent all around tour🧀🏰🍫
I enjoyed the cheese shop more than Lindt tour, but both were nice. The tour guide was knowledgeable & personable. He answered all the questions he was asked. He also had a guide in training who was also very kind.
If I could give this tour a 10-star, I would. It was simply a perfect tour in every way. Rapperswil was beautiful. The cheese factory was beyond amazing. It was such an authentic experience getting to walk through the process, watching everything first-hand, hearing our host explain so much in detail - fascinating!! THE best. The Lindt Home is beyond description. It's gorgeous and I've never tasted such delicious chocolate, dispensed in liquid, in chips... wow. Unlimited tastings. The chocolate fountain was dazzling. But most important, our guide - Gallus - was outstanding. He was very knowledgable about every aspect of our tour, very fluent in English, kind. He watched over us and made sure we didn't get lost of left behind. He was attentive and answered all our questions. When I left my journal at the cheese factory, he went back for it, and still managed to remain relaxed, not even taking time away from our trip. Perhaps best of all, he made this both a fascinating AND a relaxing tour, something few tour guides accomplish. He gave guided tours everywhere we stopped with lots of information but he also gave us plenty of time to wander and relax and eat. I cannot more highly recommend a tour and a tour guide. He deserves the tour guide of the decade award for sure.
The views while on this tour were spectacular. Seeing & learning the history of Switzerland is a big reason why this tour is well worth going on. We got to get out of the cities & see the country “life”. The monastery church was amazing, the cheese was yummy and the chocolate was delicious! What more could you want?
If you like cheese and chocolate, this is the trip for you. Guides Andi on the bus and Tracey at the cheese factory knew their stuff and were informative and entertaining
It is fantastic and very informative. Travelers should know that the first part of the tour involves some rigorous climbing of various steps. It is a full day of adventure. Prepare your taste buds.
The city was very nice, but you cannot go in the castle as it’s a private venue. However, the view from the top is well worth it and the time in Rappersweil was more than enough. The monastery was very busy due to it being Good Friday, but was able to hear a service and it the church was beautiful. Lots of tourists and and very busy due to it being Good Friday. The cheese tour was amazing and the cheese taste amazing. The chocolate tour was well worth it and you really got to eat a ton of chocolate! Martin our tour guide spoke amazing English and was very passionate about his job. The group was small with 10 people and we traveled in a nice spacious van.
