Great way to learn to make ramen and gyoza! We took this class as a family with 2 kids. Everyone had so much fun and the food was excellent!
We had so much fun with Amo and Yoshi! Chef Yoshi owned his own ramen restaurant in Sydney, Australia, and has worked in famous ramen shops across Japan. With his help, we made the most wonderful bowls of ramen and gyoza, and they even accommodated my vegan daughter. We all recommend this experience!
It ‘s a very nice atmosphere. The chef and his wife is a great host. My husband and I had a fun couple of hrs
We had a great time learning about how to make some delicious ramen! They were super accommodating and informative. We can’t wait to make the recipes they shared with us as it was some of the best ramen and gyoza we’ve ever had!
Attended this class as an active thing to do and to meet people on our visit to Tokyo rather than just simply eat out. Recommended to us by a friend, myself and my son thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Amo-san met us at the appointed time at the Egoda station and after a short walk through the quaint residential neighborhood we reached the unassuming location. That day we were the only party at the small but immaculate kitchen. But it seemed to be set up for accommodating more. Yoshi-san had prepared hist best broth and led us through the steps of making the broth along with ramen sauce. Amo-san led us through the process of making the noodles as well as stuffing and closing the gyoza. Plenty of questions and lots of excellent conversation. I’ll leave out the small tips to making good ramen and gyoza for visitors to discover by themselves. Of course, everything tasted delicious! Best broth ever! We made (with help of course) perfectly cooked noodles and gyoza. If you take the morning session then go easy on the breakfast because we were stuffed at the end of the meal. Both Yoshi-san and Amo-san speak good English and they were patient as I tried out my broken Japanese. Highly recommend for a day away from the crowds.
Amazing experience and the people who ran the program even gave us their personal family recipe at the end.
Great experience! My wife and I really enjoyed the class and the hosts were very informative.
Meeting point is on second floor of the station. Absolutely an amazing experience. The host are wonderful inviting groups into their home to make ramen and dumplings. Just a fun cooking event with the end you enjoy the fruits of your labor. Food was delicious.
My partner and I had an amazing time at this ramen and dumpling making class. The instructors were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the process very beginner-friendly. We loved making everything from scratch. It was so satisfying to see everything come together, and even better to sit down and enjoy the meal afterward. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious—honestly some of the best ramen we’ve ever had. Highly recommend this experience!
Yoshi and Amo were seriously the best! They’re so warm and immediately welcoming and with two other travelers we had a small group of four, which was honestly perfect. They walked us step by step through both the dumpling and ramen parts, all the while giving us some great insight into how they came to offer these classes, and made it so easy for future remakes of these in our own homes in the future! HIGHLY recommend for anyone looking to try something a little different with a really cool and wonderful couple :)
