This outing was disappointing at best. We’re were first taken to a farmers market. It was where the locals can buy produce. Not really exciting. We were told the beach was just beyond the market it was. The market was in the middle of a city of high rises. We thought we were going to a small village. Then we were taken to a flea market, again unless you’re a shopper not exciting. A lot of junk.
Very quiet in November. Many businesses are closed. If there are not many people, you can also see that there is a lot of overdue maintenance. It looks a little sad. Will be different in high season
You get picked up near your hotel (15 minute walk away for us) dropped at a food market then collected an hour later and taken to general goods market. No 'beach bliss' . Dont bother loule is much better
Was easy to locate where the driver picked us up and driver interacted with us during the drive. Very good markets.
It was a super pleasant trip if you have time for shopping and enjoy everything has views of the beach
Nice friendly town. Beautiful beaches. Plenty of cafes and bars. Good shopping and transport. Great for families, couples or solo travellers.
Very good trip to the gypsy market and fruit market . Got. A few bargains . Rather dusty so beware if you suffer from asthma
I took my shop-a-holic mother here and she loved it! You can find lovely souvenirs, linen clothing, tablecloths, tea towels and cork bags galore at reasonable prices
Booked this trip before we started our holiday so that we had something definite planned plus we paid for it here so didnt use any holiday money. Quite a big market with some interesting home-made products as well as the usual clothes, bags, sunglasses etc and didnt find anyone too pushy. Our pickup was on time and the driver kept us amused on the journey which didnt take long, in fact the stalls were only just setting up so we went round a couple of times. We were collected at the allotted time and went to the next part ie Vilamoura however our driver decided we would stop for half an hour at a fresh produce and fish market on the way. All well and good but as we were all inclusive as I think everyone was, we didnt buy anything and would have preferred the time in Vilamoura. As it was we only had half an hour there which didnt give enough time to even walk all the way round and back. It was an enjoyable trip though.
This used to be a really good market but in recent years the amount of sellers has reduced and the price of fake goods has gone up. One seller wanted 65 euro for fake trainers for a child.
