Putrajaya Tour From Kuala Lumpur Includes Batu Caves

Description
If you’re trying to get the most out of a tight schedule, this day trip from Kuala Lumpur is a great way to experience the sights and sounds of Putrajaya, the seat of the Malaysian government. Instead of making your own way south and losing time looking for places to see, get picked up from your hotel and driven direct to several of Putrajaya’s beautiful Islamic-inspired landmarks, including the Putra Mosque and the Prime Minister’s Office. Visit Putrajaya’s impressive bridges, spanning the city’s central man-made lake. Don’t get overwhelmed by the heat in your air-conditioned vehicle. Before returning to hotel, visit Batu Caves which is 140-foot statue of Hindu deity Lord Murugan, visible from miles away, stands guard outside Batu Caves. This statue is the tallest of a Hindu deity in Malaysia, and the third tallest of its kind in the world, behind only Nepal’s Kailashnath Mahadev Statue and Indonesia’s Garuda Wisnu Kencana Statue.

Itinerary
Batu Caves is a limestone hill, which has a series of caves and cave temples, located in Gombak district, 13 kilometres (8 miles) north of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It takes its name from the Sungai Batu or Batu River, which flows past the hill. Batu Caves is also the name of the nearby village. Batu Caves is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of Hindu festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia. It is also known as the 10th Caves or Hill for Lord Muruga as it is one of the ten most important shrines in India and Malaysia. The Lord Murugan statue at the foot of Batu Caves is the second tallest Hindu deity statue in the world with a heroic height of 42.7 metres (140 ft.). The limestone forming Batu Caves is said to be around 400 million years old.
The first stop is one of seven bridges in Putrajaya, which is the most elegant. The 240m cable bridge features a futuristic design borrowing the shape of a sailing ship. The Seri Wawasan Bridge is visible from many vantage points of the city. From Kuala Lumpur City Hotel to Putrajaya takes about 30-45 minutes.
The Putrajaya Lake is a lake Located at the centre of Putrajaya, Malaysia. This 650 hectares man-made lake is designed to act as a natural cooling system for the city and also for recreation, fishing, water sports and water transport.
The Perdana Putra is a building in Putrajaya, Malaysia which houses the office complex of the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Located on the main hill in Putrajaya, it has become synonymous with the executive branch of the Malaysian federal government.
The Putra Mosque is the principal mosque of Putrajaya, Malaysia. Construction of the mosque began in 1997 and was completed two years later. It is located on Putra Square and is adjacent to man-made Putrajaya Lake. The pink-domed Putra Mosque is constructed with rose-tinted granite and consists of three main functional areas – the prayer hall, the Sahn, or courtyard, and various learning facilities and function rooms. The mosque can accommodate 15,000 worshippers at any one time.
One of the best ways to see the city's sights is by taking a 45 minutes daytime or evening sightseeing cruise on a comfortable air-conditioned 76 seaters cruise boat. Gondola-style boat rides are also available.
Designed in 2005 to usher in the new millennium, this is the first monument to be built in Putrajaya. The walkway twirling around the monument illustrates the history of Malaysia, the panels describing significant events in the country. There is a time capsule at the base of the monument which will be opened in 2020. As you move up along the ramps of the Millennium Monument, you can see sweeping views of the waterfront.
The Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque or the Iron Mosque is the second principal mosque in Putrajaya, Malaysia after Putra Mosque. It is located in Putrajaya's Precinct 3, opposite the Palace of Justice and next to Islamic Complex Putrajaya, a religious authority headquarters. The "Iron Mosque" features a district cooling system, and fans or an air conditioning system. The mosque employs "architectural wire mesh" imported from Germany and China, which is also constructed at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid and the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris.
The Moroccan Pavilion deserves five stars for Instaworthiness, if such a rating exists. Built to symbolise the diplomatic ties between the two governments, the stunning architecture and delicate craftsmanship bear resemblance to the villages and imperial cities of Morocco.

Unfortunately, we didn't really have a guide. We had a driver who didn't really provide any information. We were dropped off at the mosque in Putrajaya. There is really nothing to do there unless you want a boat ride. Thought we were going to see the government building but drove past it. Batu caves are amazing!!!! Again, no information or history was given. The driver was very polite and courteous, but you could do this much cheaper with the Grab app.
Our driver was Shiba, he was very nice and professional. We did not go to the last 3 stops but that may have been on us . We wanted to take the 45 minute cruise and we needed to wait 20 minutes for it. We also took our time at the Batu caves and at the Putrajaya mosque. We never felt rushed and Shiba Also assisted us in taking pictures at the sites. He also took us to the Kings palace which was not on the itinerary and gave us time to take pictures and admire the palace and surroundings. This is not a guided tour and it clearly states it on “what’s included “ before you purchase the ticket . You are purchasing a ticket for a private driver to pick you up at the hotel take you to the sites in an air conditioned car and drop you off at the hotel . If you get an in depth tour take it as a bonus but don’t hold it against your driver if he/she doesn’t as he or she is not a tour guide . I also noted complains about the pigeons , the monkeys, and the lack of cleanliness of the Batu caves. I highly recommend going at 7:00 am as there are very few monkeys at that time , less pigeons , and less people . I saw someone trying to sweep the trash on the steps (so there is effort to keep it clean) so I guess the people trashing the place are responsible for the lack of cleanliness . I recommend the Batu Caves because it is a unique experience while in Malaysia I will not compare it to other countries. I enjoyed this tour for what it was a nice professional driver taking me to sites I wanted to see not be rushed and best of all in an air conditioned car .
Thank you for your support and feedback, It was our pleasure to have you as our guest in Malaysia.
The tour guide was not interested to explain anything to us. Basically he was like a hired driver for the day and just dumped us at each site and told us how much time to spend at each location.
The tour was private in the sense that the guide was 'one man band' as driver of a 5 seated car and the part time guide. The pros are flexible time for pick up and visit schedule, the cons are the guide was less knowledgeable, e. g., just introducing the name of the sites, focusing on driving and duration of each visit. Perhaps luck can let us choose a balance between a safe and well-informed tour.
Fauzi was an excellent driver, was on time and was very knowledgeable about the history of Putrejaya and Malaysia in general. The tour organizer contacted us via WhatsApp the night before with Fauzi’s vehicle information and pick up time. We visited all the sites as advertised and we never felt rushed.
Car was spacious, clean and A/C worked good. Driver waited for us even when staying longer than expected at certain visits, although we did have to skip the last visit because of this but that was on us. Would book again to avoid hassle of finding transportation from one place to another. Would recommend asking for a tour of the “steel mosque” that was the highlight of our trip.
Thank you for your support. It was pleasure to have you and your family as our guest.
This is a good trip if you have already done the city tour - we hadn't! It is a lot of travelling but worthwhile to see the stunning mosques, government buildings and a different area outside the city. Our driver was lovely. She was knowledgeable about the places and very flexible when we decided to change some of the plans! We enjoyed her company and she tried really hard to make sure we enjoyed our trip.
Thank you for your feedback and support. It was our pleasure to have you as our guest. Thanks.
Amazing experience. The driver was really friendly, the car was new and very clean and comfy. He picked us up on time from the lobby and adjusted the timing based on our preferences. Definitely this tour company and the tour itself are highly recommended
Thank you for your feedback and support. Is our pleasure to have you and your family as our guest. Thanks.
Recomended, it is easy to go from 1 place to another for photo stop as we were travelling with senior citizens. Driver was helpful as he actually help us to snap photos.
