Description

When visiting Pula you can't skip the beautiful Arena. It is one of the most important monuments in Croatia that has to be visited. Do you know that it was built at the and of one known Roman road? and that it is considered to be one of the oldest in the world! During Roman times there were around 260-ties Arenas like this one around the Mediterranean. Gladiators were professional fighters that had to follow strict rules. Their diet was very curious. But do you know the way their wounds were treated? And what was the reward for a winner? About this topic and more on my tour.

Tour okay, but no fights

The tour was very interesting, but we saw a trailer of a gladiator fight and that wasn’t in the tour. I called for asking if the fight was included and they tell me it was, but it wasn’t.

Operator response

Dear, Thank you for booking my tour of Pula Arena. However, my tour does not include gladiator fights. This you can see from the description of the tour. You probably called the Arena directly and asked about the evening gladiatorial fights that are organized throughout the summer and cost more than a guided tour, but you bought a guided tour of the Arena. I'm sorry that you didn't ask me during the guide when you noticed that there were no gladiators, then you would have solved the problem immediately. I also think that it would be fair if all doubts were resolved before evaluating the sightseeing. This is how it turns out that I didn't offer you something that I have nothing to do with at all. Gladiator fights are on the program every summer in the evening, in the Pula Arena, if you come back to Pula, I hope you will go and see them. Best Regards, Rossana
