Pula Arena Amphitheater Admission Ticket

Description
Day-trippers you are going to love this one. This is Pula's greatest history asset, and it will blow your mind. The grandiose Amphitheater, one of the largest in the world, was built during the 1st AD under the reign of Emperor Vespasian, at around the same time as the Colosseum in Rome. The ground plan is elliptical, the longer axis measuring about 130 m and the shorter one about 100 m. This huge and magnificent structure is assembled solely from local limestone and is known as the Pula Arena. Although it underwent a great deal of restoration work, the site can still seat 5,000 people and is used in summer as a venue for festivals and performances. But that's not all. Get to the underground passages, once used by gladiators, and visit a permanent exhibition of amphorae and equipment used in the production of olive oil in ancient time.

All you can see, you can see for free in the streets around!
I wish someone would have warned ticket holders on that day that there was a marathon ending here. Weren’t able to see everything and there was loud music and tents being set up inside the coliseum. Other than that, beautiful spot.
Superb. Lots of opportunities for photography and exploring the ancient Arena of Pula...............
Great experience! But... Do not buy a ticket in advance on Tripadvisor. Much cheaper on site. Half price to buy at the door.
Definitely worth a visit. What an impressive place. Loved that you could scan as you walk to know the history of the places would definitely recommend a visit.
Poor value for money - you can see the same from outside as roads lead round it. There is nothing you can see by entering and paying 10euro that you can’t see from outside
Despite illness-related fatigue, a wonderful visual delight and suitable for historical information.
This is a self guided tour but a fun experience and worth the time and money to see while you are in Pula.
This was just an entry ticket, and not a tour. It was easy to obtain our tickets and we enjoyed our visit.
Pula is phantastic city with a great history background lasting more the 2000 years. Always an important naval port, always a mixture if various inhabitants originating from various countries who consider themselves for Istrians - peaceful people loving their Istria
