not worth the time or money

the entire trip is on a small boat. if you are not doing the hidden beach, don't waste your time and money. the snorkling is a very small area and then yiu are rushed to s beach for less than 10 minutes before you are boarded. they skipped tje so called eco tour as well.

Pacific Flying Inc Food Bar

Although a limited selection all food hot, well cooked and good portion size to price. On Hwy 1 near Ace Hardware, outside of Pago Pago

LONG boat rides, not good snorkeling, but really fun cave island

Boat ride to island was hour and a half, only 1/4 of the boat is shaded so be prepared to cook in the sun if you don't get a shaded seat. Went to hidden beach but only a few people did that part of the excursion. Took us to a snorkel location and it was the WORST. I got stung by 4 jellyfish and every single person that was on the boat that jumped in was stung but at least 1 jellyfish. A group of 4 swam out to the rocks to snorkel before anyone and they said there were zero fish and water was too murky so my family and I only went a quarter of the way and headed back to the boat, only to get stung more times. Note that there is NO LADDER to get back onto the boat and it took 3 people to hoist most bodies back onto the boat. Took us to a 2nd location and got off and this is a BEAUTIFUL beach with caves and rocks that were super fun to explore and very picturesque beaches. Ate sandwiches and pasta once we got back on the boat but then it took us 2 hours to get back to the pier and since they kept talking to us about NOT using sunscreen, we did not get to lather up properly. We had to sneak sunscreen on every chance we got. Was a miserable boat ride back since the boat had to go much slower.

Operator response

We’re so sorry to hear about the challenges you faced during the trip. We avoid sunscreen to protect the marine environment, but we understand how important sun protection is and will consider better ways to address this for future tours. Regarding the jellyfish, they aren’t always present, but we regret it impacted your experience. Thank you for your feedback—it helps us improve!

Good but could’ve lasted longer.

Overall good experience, Nacho is a good and knowledgeable guide. The organization was good but there was no kayak or paddle board available. Wish we spent more time snorkeling around the islands as it was kinda short.

Operator response

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed your experience with Nacho—he’s amazing! We apologize for the lack of kayaks or paddleboards and appreciate your suggestion for more snorkeling time. We’ll work on improving these aspects. 🌟

Worth the money.

The crew was amazing! Very fun and helpful. My family of 6 had a great time with kids ages 8-15. I loved not having to worry about food or drinks. Everything was taken care of. You can't actually go on the island, but you can snorkel by jumping off the back on the ship or take a speed boat around for the eco tour or just relax on the boat. On the way back from the island we had another stop at a beach where we could kayak or SUP. The ride to the island was about 2 hours each way, but we saw multiple whales along the way! Incredible. Enjoyed the eco tour (which costs extra but was worth it). Really a nice time and relaxing time.

A great day trip for 80 but could be better managed

Quality vs price- A very good day trip but I would recommend reorganizing the different activities/groups throughout the day as we ended up waiting in the water for close to 30 minutes after a very short snorkel activity (not much to see at the Marietas snorkeling wise) and many ppl were shivering as the ocean temperature even on a very hot day was cold (January).

Nice excursion

We really liked this excursion. The staff was great and the food was good! The Island is spectacular. I really enjoyed its nature. I also recommend the Ecco tour to everyone which was extra fee but it was totally worth it.

Good option, but just consider

Good option, still a few things to consider. The meeting for the check in us half hour earlier. So you have to arrive 8:30am also consider that the hidden beach is closed Mondays and Tuesdays
