Gianel Hernandez was the leader and was very personable and knowledgeable as to the history of the area. The tour highlighted what it was like when the mining companies controlled the area. Highly recommend this tour if you want to learn more about the area.
A fun and unique way to spend a little time in the evening. This tour was a nice mix of cultural & historic info with a couple ghost stories in the mix. Gia was a great guide, very personable, knowledgeable, and passionate.
The narrator was very knowledgeable and comfortable with the history. I did not see any ghosts... but found the tour interesting and enjoyed. It is a must do!
What a fun experience! Gia was so engaging and passionate sharing with us about history for the original townsite and culturally about what the Day of the Dead truly means. This was the highlight of the trip, away from the big tourist attractions and city bustle with an opportunity to truly learn about and connect with the community. Such a fun little tour!!
We really enjoyed the tour. Gia is very knowledgeable, articulate and engaging. When she learned that we will.be travelling to Mexico City she gave several recommendations for what to see and do there and even went a step further by emailing us a list of additional places of interest and restaurants we might enjoy on our trip. We will certainly recommend to anyone coming to PV, to learn about the history of the city through interesting ghost stories
This was such a fun activity to learn about some history of Puerto Vallarta! For a touristy destination, I was concerned there wouldn’t be much history to learn about but this tour completely changed my mind!
Interesting history and some ghost stories combined. 90 minutes was a perfect amount of time. Gia was very pleasant.
Highly recommend this tour! Gia was very informative and kept our group engaged and interested in the stories and local lore that she shared with us. It felt very personal to her and we felt her passion and connection to the history which made all the difference. A highlight for us was walking through the old town streets and seeing all the old buildings and hearing about their spooky origins.
We enjoyed this tour. It was more than a ghost tour, it was a historical tour of Puerto Vallarta. Gia spoke perfect English and was knowledgeable of the area, since her family has been here for a long time. I would recommend this tour.
