World War 1 remembered

I am sorry to say that the Tripadvisor desorption of the tour itinerary is totally misleading. It lists a tour duration of 13 hours and lists various stops and their durations. In reality, the tour is 4 hours and the round trip from Brussels to Ypres is about 3 hours for a total trip time (including the tour) of 7 hours. That having been said, both the driver and the guide did a very good job. We arranged to visit the excellent In Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres on our own before the formal guided tour by arranging with the driver to take us there a couple of hours before.

Operator response

Thank you for the kind words about our guide and driver - they truly deserved it! Now let us gently address the math here. Our tour runs from 8am to 9pm - that is a solid 13 hours from pickup to drop-off, exactly as advertised. We checked with the guide and the numbers are very much there. We also went out of our way to arrange early arrival so you could visit In Flanders Fields Museum independently before the tour even started - glad that worked out well for you. We love feedback and always take it on board - but when the record needs correcting, we will correct it. Hope to see you back in Flanders one day! 🙏

Recommend Alice for this tour

Bravo! One of the best activity we have ever taken in our long travelling history. We recomend our guide Alice who is a real professional in the world history and all the political twists. The transportation was very comfortable with all we could have wished for

Awesome Tour of Ypres and Surrounding Areas

My Dad and I took this tour last week, and it was simply amazing. We are both big history geeks, and this tour hit most of the highlights throughout Ypres and the surrounding areas. Mavliud was our tour guide, and he was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and kind. I would 100% book this tour again if I ever find myself in Western Belgium, and I highly, highly recommend it to my fellow travelers.

Truly enjoyed the experience.

We were a group of friends interested in history, and this tour turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. The company was flexible in adding an extra stop, and our guide was both kind and very knowledgeable. Everything was well organized, and we truly enjoyed the experience, including a lovely meal in Ipr.

Driver 30 min late , 4 days before the tour I was notified museums were closed > This tour was $2300 Canadian , we were picked up at 830 , dropped off at 330 pm . They did pay for lunch , big deal . Do you think this was a good price for a family of 4 , for barely an 8 hour day . They said a guide , plus a driver , did not happen . Pick up from hotel , did not happen . 30 min late. The guide was pretty good , no complaints , but was late with no apology or excuse , I likely will not use this company again . Very Unprofessional Scott Burke
