Our day with Jérémie was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We were lucky to visit a mix of small and more established producers and tasted marvelous wines. It was an elegant and unique experience.
As a longtime fan of California Pinot Noir, I knew that truly understanding the grape required a pilgrimage to the motherland: Burgundy. However, navigating the region’s exclusive tasting culture can be daunting. I wanted authentic access to top-tier estates without the exorbitant premium touring fees. Jeremie and Grape Adventures delivered exactly that. Jeremie used his deep local connections to craft a seamless, high-access itinerary through legendary villages like Gevrey-Chambertin, Nuits-Saint-Georges, and Vosne-Romanée that would have been impossible to organize on my own in such a short timeframe. The Highlights: Domaine Drouhin Laroze: At Drouhin Laroze, the family’s dedication to terroir is evident in the glass. Coming from the bolder California style, I was struck by the delicate, beautiful balance between fruit, tannins, and earth. The hospitality was wonderfully hands-on—they even let me help roll empty barrels ready for filling. Domaine Rossignol-Trapet: A fantastic stop featuring a traditional lunch with authentic Burgundian pâté served in the chateau, followed by an exceptional, terroir-driven tasting. The Vosne Tasting Club: A brilliant recommendation from Jeremie. This hidden gem featured an English-speaking guide who curated a selection of incredible Grand Crus at price points rarely seen back in California. Beyond the flawless curation, Jeremie handled the complex logistics, including coordinating the packing and shipping of the wines I purchased. He even recommended a great restaurant in Beaune and used his connections to get a table. For any serious Pinot Noir enthusiast looking for an insider’s perspective on Burgundy, working with Grape Adventures is highly recommended.
We have a wonderful time with Jérémie as our guide for two days in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. We visited high-quality wineries, got excellent views while driving throughout the vineyard, and learned a lot about the region from Jérémie. He made the day extremely easy and fun. Jérémie was such a wonderful tour guide! He was very knowledgeable about the wine and a very nice person. We loved getting to know him during our two day tour! He was also able to get us in to visit with some great winemakers we never would have been able to get in to see on our own. All had beautiful wines and spent a lot of time with us teaching us about their specific processes. We learned a lot and plan to tour with Jérémie again!
