Itinerary
The experience begins when our friendly guide greets your private group of travellers at your preferred meeting point. Please be ready 10 minutes prior to the departure time.
You'll travel south out of the city aboard a comfortable minibus, along the beaches of Botany Bay and through the Royal National Park.
First stop is Bald Hill Lookout, a popular launch site for hang gliders and para gliders, which affords sweeping views of the Illawarra coastline and the famous Sea Cliff Bridge.
After the break it's just a few minutes drive to the family-run Symbio Wildlife Park which is active in koala conservation. Here you'll find out everything you ever wanted to know about these fascinating marsupials during a private koala experience with a keeper.
Next you'll meander along the Grand Pacific Drive traversing the Sea Cliff Bridge as it sweeps out over the ocean, well clear of the crumbling cliffs to which the old highway clung.
You’ll continue to follow the scenic coastline to a golden beach where you’ll enjoy lunch in a café popular with locals with views out over the ocean. Bring your swimmers for a dip if the sun is out!
After lunch you’ll head up through temperate rainforest into the Southern Highlands.
An easy hike leads to viewpoints that take in the spectacular sandstone gorges and towering waterfalls of the Morton National Park.
Finally, you’ll drive along country roads to a boutique winery to sample locally-produced, cool climate wine before returning to Sydney. Arrival back at Circular Quay is around 6:30pm.

This was our favorite tour of our whole cruise!! Our guide, Jackie, was so patient and accommodating to our group as we had delays getting off the ship. She communicated the whole time and eased my anxiety. Symbio was an awesome wildlife park, and we loved getting to pet a koala!! It was well laid out with many types of animals to see. The vista points we visited were beautiful on our drive and the waterfall hike was so pretty!! Lunch was delicious, right next to the beach, and finally the winery was great! Beautiful atmosphere and the staff were very kind. They brought my kids their own snack plate while we were wine tasting so they didn't feel left out. Overall, such a great day in the southern highlands area, and we would highly recommend!!
We had a wonderful tour experience. Our guide, Steve, was extremely knowledgeable and informative about the area we were seeing as well as Australia in general. Really a nice guy and we would totally recommend him as a guide. The tour itself was an incredible experience. We loved the Koala experience, the waterfalls were beautiful, the wine tasting was wonderful and seeing kangaroos in the wild was amazing. Our best tour so far on this trip.
Hi Debbie, Wow—thank you for such a thoughtful review! It’s always a joy to hear that a day out with us becomes a real highlight of someone’s trip. There’s something pretty special about seeing a wild kangaroo or hearing a waterfall echo through the forest, and we’re so glad you got to soak it all in. Steve has a real talent for making people feel at home while sharing stories of the land, so we’ll be sure to pass along your kind words. Wishing you many more great adventures ahead—and if your travels ever bring you back this way, we'd love to host you again! Cheers, from all of the team @WildlifeWaterfallsWine.com

We had a great day out of Sydney exploring the wildlife, waterfalls and wine. The highlight of our tour was our guide Rowan and his vast knowledge of the area and history. Our favorite parts of the tour were the interactions with Koalas and kangaroos and the spectacular waterfall hike. The wine/vineyard was great; if time permitted, it would have been awesome to enjoy a glass/share a bottle of our favorite wine from the tasting and take in more of the vineyard grounds and scenery. Highly recommend this private tour!
Thank you for your fantastic review! We're delighted to hear that you had a great day exploring Wildlife, Waterfalls, and Wine with us. Rohan will be thrilled to know that his vast knowledge of the area and history made your tour memorable. Interacting with koalas and kangaroos and visiting the spectacular Fitzroy Falls are definitely highlights of our tour. We appreciate your feedback regarding the vineyard visit, Centennial Vineyards is absolutely a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a glass or bottle of wine while taking in the scenery. Thank you for highly recommending our private tour. We thankyou for joining our tour! Kind Regards, Michelle @WildlifeWaterfallsWine.com
My favorite tour i’ve been on! I never felt rushed at any of the locations and they had a great variety on what to do. Food was amazing and we did not have to sit through any crowds! 100% would recommend. You really do get close with the animals!
Favorite tour you've been on! And 100% recommended! Wow! We're all so happy to hear that. We might have to quote you on that :-) Thanks for taking the time to share your impression of the tour. Cheers, Steve - LocalTravelPlanner.com
Couldn't recommend more! We travelled with a big family group, many of them had never been to Australia before. Luckily, the tour is tailored for first-time visitors and covered many bases (informationally, culturally, and explorational). The private zoo experience was next level and it turned even our biggest curmudgeon into a ray of sunshine. From just one day, our photo gallery is unparalleled and our friends couldn't believe this was a single day of content. Steve was exceptionally knowledgeable, eloquent, and warm. Already we have recommended several friends to this experience so book quickly!
Wow Mina! Thanks so much recommending the tour. Your whole family was a delight to have along on the day - I couldn't imagine who gets the curmudgeon label :-) I hope you all enjoyed a great celebration in Melbourne. Cheers, Steve LocalTravelPlanner.com
