In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated

Nefertiti’s tomb

Thanks to my guide, I had Nefertiti tomb to myself for more than the allotted time of 10 minutes. This tomb was by far the most amazing in either the Valley of the Kings or Queens.

Khalid is extremely knowledgeable. He is an Egyptologist that has so many details about the sites. Car had very cold AC

Khalid is very knowledgeable and knows so many facts. He is an Egyptologist that is obviously very proud of his heritage. We learned so much today. The driver, also Khalid was very good, always right there waiting with the brand new car that had awesome AC. Lunch was plentiful and delicious. Khalid knew exactly when the timing was good for entrance to each site, minimizing crowd exposure. I actually toured Nefertari’s tomb ALL alone. It was surreal. No other tourists. Very good experience. Recommend to everyone!

Visit to the Valley of the King's and Queen's

Nefertari's tomb was the highlight. Our guide Ahmed Eziz was great at changing the itinerary to avoid the crowds so we didn't have to wait too long in line at the tombs. Ahmed was also very good at providing a lot of information but keeping a good pace so the kids didn't get bored. Lunch was included and it was the best meal we have had in our 10 days in Egypt.

Beautiful tombs

This tour was amazing! I feel like I saw most of the highlights of Luxor. I really wanted to see Nefertari’s tomb, which did not disappoint — it was so well preserved that it looks like it was painted just yesterday. My guide Ash was great; he very informative and answered all my questions. And lunch was pretty good. I’d suggest this tour to anyone, particularly if you want to see Nefertari’s tomb!

Fantastic Tour

We were lucky to have Ahmed as our guide, as he was incredibly knowledgeable. As a trained guide with nearly twenty years experience, he was able to explain all of the sites, with very interesting stories, and easily answered all of our questions. Everything was made easy, as we were picked up from the train station, and dropped off at our hotel afterwards. Lunch was also included, and very delicious. I highly recommend this tour!

Totally worth it!

We went on this tour in October 2019 and while the day was busy, it was totally worth it to see everything! Nefertaris tomb was one of the highlights of our entire trip. Our guide explained each site well, gave us plenty of time at each, and gave us enough freedom to explore on our own. A lot of the tours don’t include the queens valley or nefertaris tomb, but it is SO worth the admission for the beautiful intact artwork. Our guide also brought us to see some alabaster vase making and paper making as well as offered an opportunity for a Nile boat ride and an excellent lunch.

Not to be missed

I just come back from this hour tour and I feel the tour lasted for days after all the things I visited. If you go to Luxor you HAVE to take this tour and visit Nefertari tomb. Everything else on the tour is great (Tut tomb, King's Valley, Temple of Hatshepsut, ...) and you'll enjoy your time. But you'll fall in love with the beautiful Queen. The tomb is so well preserved and the paintings so vivid that you will feel she is still there with you welcoming into her sacred place. Khalid, my guide, proved to be a very knowledgeable and nice guy, always ready to provide useful information and precious details about ancient history and local culture. And together with the driver, they supported all of my needs. The pace was just perfect and I've never felt under pressure. His descriptions and mood so passionate that I could almost live those events and see those places. And even during the visit to a market place I've never felt forced to buy anything, but I was just welcomed as a respected guest. Do yourself a favour and take this tour. Thank me later.
