Leaning tower of Pisa was built in 1174 and it' s one of the most visited monument in Italy. It' s also possible to climb the tower but since it' s always very crowded site, making a reservation is highly suggested.
Sangimignano is a medieval town in the tuscan countryside that reminds Manhattan because of its 14 ancient towers built in the middle age by the major families. Excellent guide. We stopped at a small winery for lunch that our guide set up for us which was a highlight of our trip.
This was an add on for us, Marco is so knowledgeable of the area, lots of facts that made the trip more interesting. Pisa was good, but for Lucca was the highlight. Also went from Florence into Tuscany and toured the area. The area is hilly he drives safely and I felt very comfortable
We had an amazing time on this tour with Marco, our driver. First, we visited Lucca where we saw the Puccini museum and the Duomo. Nice to see a different type of city and explore. We than had lunch at a wonderful place Marco recommended and had some local favorites - fried flowers and Tordelli Lucchese pasta. Amazing. The , off to Pisa where we were blown away by how much the tower leans and took the time to walk up. Definitely book ahead of time not to miss the climb of 257 stairs! Thank you Marco for a Wonderful day!
Hello, Thanks for this amazing review! I appreciate it very much! It' s been a beautiful day spent driving for you and your adorable family. I wish I' ll be able to drive for you again in the future! My warmest regards, Marco Modesti
Amazing day! The wineries and food were fantastic. Marco was a wonderful driver. Met and exceeded our expectations!
We were a group of 14 people, this was car 2 of 2. The car was well airconditioned, which was great since it was late July. With 7 adults, we fit comfortably in the car with 1 adult in the front, 3 in the middle, and 3 in the back. The drive is quite windy and bumpy, so if you are prone to motion sickness, you should sit in the front. There was also a middle seat in the front, but we chose to use the 3 seats in the middle and back rows. Jay was an excellent driver! He was originally from the US, so his English was perfect, which was great since our group only spoke English. We were the second of two cars and we followed the other car throughout the trip. As a large group, it was nice to driver in tandem throughout the whole day. We had a stop at Pisa and we're given an hour to walk around. Then we headed to Podere La Maronaia where the drivers had booked us a winery lunch and wine tasting. This was an extra 45 Euros per adult. The wine, scenery, and lunch were excellent. Highly recommend asking your driver to stop here. After a couple hours, our driver said it was time to go to San Gimignano where we walked around the town. They recommended Gelateria Dondoli, which would have a very long line but would move fast. They were correct. And the gelato was spectacular. After an hour here, we met the drivers back at the car and headed back to Florence. This was a great way to tour Tuscany. Highly recommend this experience!

He was very knowledgeable about the area and told us about the history of the areas where we were driving. We had 5 adults, a baby, and a 3 year old. After picking us up from our Airbnb in Florence, we stopped at the car garage to pick up car seats before heading out of town. We had a stop at Pisa and we're given an hour to walk around. Marco was great! He was very knowledgeable in all places he took us. He did not rush us anywhere. He is a safe driver. He coordinated our lunch and winery! Everything was perfect. Definitely recommend him for any tours in Tuscany region.
Visit to Pisa followed by private lunch and wine tasting hosted by the owners of a Tuscan winery and finally be a visit to a mountain top Italian village be that is a UNESCO site. Driver was prompt, courteous, great with children and had great insights.
