For a day to see two of the most complete temples in Egypt. Abydos Temple is dedicated to the Ancient Egyptian god of the underworld. Arrival Abydos Start your day Tour discovering the ancient sites. First, visit Abydos Temple. Temple of Hathor at Dendara may be the best preserved in Egypt with full color still visible on its walls Temple around 135 km from Luxor , the ancient Egyptian believed of god (Lord of the underworld) to be buried there. The temple was built by King Seti I, and completed by King Ramsess II, known as temple of Seti I.
It is located in Abydos city about 420 km to the south of Cairo in Sohag Government, and 135 km from Luxor . The paintings of the Gods and Pharaohs on the walls of the Osiris Temple at Abydos are among the most beautifully preserved in Egypt.
The temple of Seti I also known as the Great Temple of Abydos is one of the main historical sites in Abydos. The temple was built by pharaoh Seti I. At the rear of the temple there is the Osireion. The temple is also notable for the Abydos graffiti, ancient Phoenician and Aramaic graffiti found on the temple walls.
Then continue to Dendara to visit the Temple of Hathor, goddess of love and joy. The temple is located in Dendara which is situated at the north of Luxor at the end of the Tour around 17:00 pm transfer back to the hotel in Luxor .

Quite a long trip but sites worth seeing, especially Dendera. You get to see a more rural side of Egypt too along the way. Driver was friendly and spoke english well enough. I can recommend.
What could you ask more, a Dr tour guide gi-ving you private lesson, total worth it! There is no other tour like Dr Michael did, he is the guide you need.

Beautiful experience, the times of Derdera and Abydos are very well preserved with beautiful colors and bas-reliefs. The guide was really kind and very prepared, explained everything to me in detail. Although a bit far from Luxor, the tour is definitely worth it.
Good tour and knowledgeable guide. Driver was great. I am only disappointed that the guide tried three times to talk us out of going to Abydos Temple. I stayed firm as this is a place I really wanted to see. I was happy I did.
Winter time (January) is fine, but midday could be near 30 degrees. Much less tourists than Karnak temples. But the colorful painting is beautiful. Also need some knowledge of Egypt, otherwise difficult to follow.
