The town is known for its peaceful and serene atmosphere, with its rolling hills and scenic countryside providing a beautiful backdrop for spiritual reflection. Visitors can participate in daily masses, confession, and adoration, as well as attend talks and conferences on the Catholic faith. The main attraction of Medjugorje is the Apparition Hill, where the Virgin Mary first appeared to the young people in 1981. Many visitors climb the hill on their knees as a sign of devotion and humility. The town is also home to the Church of St. James, a beautiful and sacred place where pilgrims can attend mass and participate in other spiritual activities.

The bridge was designed by the Ottoman architect Mimar Hayruddin, and it quickly became a symbol of the city's cultural and architectural heritage. During the Bosnian War in the 1990s, the Stari Most was destroyed by Croatian forces, causing widespread shock and devastation. However, in 2004, the bridge was rebuilt using traditional techniques and materials, and it was officially reopened to the public. Overall, Mostar and the Stari Most are a testament to the resilience and cultural richness of the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Emir was a wonderful guide and driver. The sights were beautiful. Enjoyed visiting Mostar and Medgugorje.
Absolutely must do!! The border crossings were quick and easy. We left at 8:45 and got back just after 7pm. We spent about 2hrs45 in Mostar (enough time to climb the minaret of a mosque for a great view, see the old bridge, the crooked bridge, look at some of the stores, dip our toes in the river and have lunch) and then about 1hr45 at Kravice falls where we went for a swim and had a drink. We never felt rushed by our guide Emin at all. Everything was gorgeous and exceeded expectations. Emin was such great company, the drive time went by quickly! It was great talking to someone who has lived in Bosnia and Croatia, he was knowledgeable, friendly, funny and relaxed. He gave us great recommendations for our day and also our dinner back in Croatia!
There was excellent communication with the provider and the assigned driver, Elvir. We knew exactly what to expect, down to exactly where to stand outside the Pile Gate. Elvir was engaging, knowledgeable and flexible. He kept us on track, substituted a very interesting stop when the advertised stop would have unduly lengthened the trip, and took into consideration our desire to make the trip a bit shorter to accommodate a dinner reservation back in Dubrovnik. He had and used contacts en route and at the destinations for bathroom and stretch breaks, and for a special viewpoint at the Mostar bridge. Overall, Elvir made it a very memorable and full day. On our way back to Dubrovnik, the provider for our planned next day trip to Kotor called and signaled that they might have a problem meeting their next day commitment -- which they did miss. My only regret was not asking Elvir then and there if he thought he could do it, and then canceling the original provider. I would enthusiastically use this provider again -- especially if they tagged Elvir with the job.
We had a fantastic experience with Dino who was the driver and unofficial tour guide for our day trip to Medugorje, Mostar and Kravice Falls. He was on time, kind, flexible, considerate and important for me, very open with friendly conversation throughout the day. We learnt a lot about each other and our backgrounds, and he offered insights into Croatian and Bosnian culture as we passed through the different towns and sights like the Peljsac bridge and Neretva river delta area. Honestly I'm not sure I would have the same commentary ability taking someone through my home country, so it was great to have someone who knew his stuff. His consideration was super helpful when he ensured that we got as close as feasible to sight locations to accommodate my mother's weak knees and then again he helped by giving her support over the difficult walking paths. Last but not least his superb grasp of English made it so much easier for us to communicate throughout the day and we were grateful because it is possible to have a driver and guide who is less conversational in English when in a foreign country so I don't take it for granted. We enjoyed his company & service so much that we used him for the remainder of our trip. I would absolutely recommend Dino for his services to anyone visiting Dubrovnik and Croatia.
Elvir was a terrific guide! Very knowledgeable about local history and sites, and willing to go at whatever pace we wanted. If we saw something interesting, he stopped for it. He suggested stops not on the original itinerary that added so much to our trip! We had a wonderful day! Would highly recommend!
This tour was great and had a beautiful and memorable day. Our driver Elvir was fantastic. Very helpful and informative. Took us everywhere and also waited patiently for us on each place. Had a good time with Elvir and had a funtastic day.
Wonderful itinerary, not rushed experienced, with always room for your personal adaptation from the wealth of local knowledge of guided tour.
It was incredible!!! He was so kind and explained us a lot of history. Also he took us to beautiful places not many people know about. Delicious restaurants and coffees, plus beautiful pictures throughout the trip.
also went far beyond his duties to make sure we were comfortable. I was feeling unwell during the tour, and he kindly bought medicine for me, and water for everyone which was incredibly thoughtful. The entire excursion was perfectly organized — relaxed, interesting, and never rushed. We recommend him 100%!
Enjoyed a day full of beautiful sites. Our tour also provided much information and background including the local culture and foods.
