Great to, great host

My wife and I took the private tour in the beginning of May. Our guide was helpful and kind and the car was comfortable. We saw many sites and got to move at our own pace. Would highly recommend this tour!

tour to mostar

I have had great experiences with Viator all over the world. Unfortunately, this tour did not meet our expectation. To start with, it is a long tour and not much to see at Mostar. The stops of the very small fort was unimpressive. Krevice waterfalls was ok. But the main problem is not the places to see - Viator can not help that. The problem was the tour operator. The car was old , uncomfortable and the driver/guide Luka , kapt turning the AC to a high temerature and opening the window even on the highway. He also constantly kept talking on the phone, looking at texts and when we pointed it out, he said that is quite normal. I do not think so since we had a total of five car rides and no other person used phone during driving. But the final straw was that Luka wanted us to have some good croatian food and wanted to take us to a seafood restaurant. I asked what was svaialable and when he told me, I said I did not like any of those. But he insisted on taking us there, joined us without being asked to and ordered whatever he wanted to eat. Ordered so much that he took the extra home.We did not like practically any of the dishes. Finally he asked us to pay the whole bill. Unbelievable. I would not recommend this tour operator.

Excellent private day trip to Bosnia-Herzegovina

Elvir Zeba was our driver and guide on this day trip to Bosnia-Herzegovina from Dubrovnik. Elvir was an expert driver who picked us up outside the Pile Gate at 8am. We felt safe the entire way with Elvir at the wheel. He speaks English fluently and is knowledgeable about the history of the Balkans. Elvir took us to Stolac, Pocitelj, Kravice, Mostar, and Blagaj. My wife and I enjoyed the conversation with Elvir. My adult son has autism which makes it challenging for him to have typical conversations with other people. Elvir was very kind and friendly with my son. Despite his autism, my son can recognize kindness and empathy. He really liked Elvir a lot and gave him a hug at the end of the trip. We had ample time to see and experience each attraction. For lunch, Elvir took us to a traditional Bosnian Burek place where we had great vegetarian burek. At Mostar, Elvir arranged for us to have excellent home made Bosnian baklava, fig cake and another dessert whose name escapes me now. I would recommend Elvir to anyone who is looking for a great day trip to Bosnia-Herzegovina from Dubrovnik.

Operator response

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and heartwarming review. It was truly a pleasure to have you and your family on the trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina. I’m very glad to hear you felt safe and comfortable throughout the day—it’s always my goal to make each journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible. It meant a lot to share conversation and experiences with you, and I’m especially grateful for the kind words about my time with your son. He was a joy to be around, and his hug at the end of the day was something I won’t forget. I’m happy you enjoyed the sights, the burek, and the homemade desserts in Mostar! Thank you again for choosing to travel with me and for recommending the tour to others. I hope our paths cross again one day! Warm regards, Elvir Zeba

An amazing day trip

We had an amazing day trip with our guide Davor. It was a long day but well worth it. Mostar and its history, Pocitelj and the Kravice waterfalls were all sights that will remain with us . Our guide took us on a couple of additional stops including the local pekarna (bakery) for traditional savoury pastries. Highly recommended

Great day but lots of time in the car

Our driver Dino was amazing and was very friendly. The down side for us as a party of 7 was the amount of time it took to get to the waterfalls and Mostar. It was a 10 hour day but around 5 hours driving.

absolutely impressive and a heartfelt recommendation

It was our second trip with Elvir/cruiser taxi. The day before we had already done the Dubrovnik/Cavtat trip... there was a reason for that - because if you are lucky enough to have found such a great guide, you should take advantage of the opportunity. :) our tour included the following stops: 1. The Vjetrenica Cave, also known as the “Wind Cave”. 2.Stolac and the Provalije Waterfalls 3.Kravice Falls Stop 1 was incredibly exciting, the exploration tour there was also great and warmly conducted. Stop 2 - Stolac, a dreamy little town with absolutely romantic waterfalls. There we stopped at the restaurant "the old mill", which is located right next to the waterfall, and enjoyed a delicious meal for a very small fee. From there we continued to the 3rd stop... by far one of the most impressive natural spectacles. The way there and back also challenged us in terms of sport. So definitely wear comfort shoes! We were very happy that we were there in April. in spring - where everything blooms beautifully, smells beautiful and nature awakens again from its hibernation. Bosnia and Herzegovina impresses with its vastness and vegetation. You forget a little about space and time when driving through the country. Here too - an unforgettable trip and great conversations about history, people and country. Many thanks to you Elvir and cruisertaxi!

Our day in Bosnia

We chose a private tour to get the most from our time and got lucky with our guide. We had a fantastic day with Elvir and highly recommend. - Elvir is a great host - easy to talk to, informative and we felt at ease. Nothing was too much trouble and he looked after us all day long. - We saw everything without feeling rushed and Elvir helped us make the most of our time with his local knowledge eg we loved the coffee shop in Mostar 😀 - Elvir flexed the itinerary a little bit to our preference. eg we ate tasty fig cakes in Stolac and tried the freshest (and delicious) oysters in Ston (ok, a foodie theme..!!)

Awesome Bosnia and Herzegovina!

Bosnia and Herzegovina was an amazing sidetrip from Dubrovnik! We had our time in Kravice waterfalls, it was massive and had nice views. We then made our way to Mostar and had an awesome lunch recommended by out tour guide Elvir, we had authentic Bosnian food. To complete our tour we made Elvir order our for lunch as he was Bosnian so he wanted to showcase what the culture can offer and it did not disappoint. We had our great time in Mostar and had also did boating under the bridge. Elvir gave us all the time we needed for our tour! For younger travelers like us, instagram feeds are important! you can explore, experience the culture and take good instagram photos with a private tour guide who was Elvir for this tour.
