Our representative will pick up you to enjoy cruising along the Nile River on a felucca (traditional sailing boat) during a private 2-hour trip from your Luxor hotel. After you are picked up from your hotel, you will be transported to the water in an air-conditioned vehicle. Board the boat and relax on the soft cushions. Then enjoy a cool drink as you gently glide down the river. Look around you for scenes that have not changed in millennia. See the children playing in the water, observe the camels, and watch the farmers going about their work in the same ways they have done for centuries, and admire the water buffalo and a wide variety of birds and wildlife. Then watch as the sun sets slowly over the West Bank.

Our (last-minute scheduled) sunset felucca ride with Captain Mahmoud Ali was absolutely wonderful and ended up being a highlight of our time in Luxor. We enjoyed stunning views of the Nile as the sun set over the west bank. Captain Mahmoud Ali was incredibly accommodating and thoughtfully pointed out different sites as we passed, while also giving my partner and me plenty of space to enjoy our time together. He struck the perfect balance between being informative and letting us simply relax and take in the scenery. He also prepared delicious hibiscus tea for us on board and proved to be an excellent photographer! Overall, the experience was peaceful, romantic, and one of our favorite memories from Luxor. I would absolutely recommend it!

Captain Ahmed was a greate person, he took a lot of photos and those photos was wonderful, also the mint tea was so nice, and Mahmoud helped a lot with our tour

What a wonderful evening on the Nile. Captain Jack Sparrow was a real gem and together with his mate Ahmed they really gave us one of the best evenings we’ve had in Egypt. A dream come true! Also the pickup went very smoothly and our driver Ahmed made sure we were well taken care of.

This felucca trip was an excellent experience with Sayed who is a very reliable and experienced felucca captain together with Mahmod and all the company. Communication by Sayed, Mahmod and all the company was first rate at all times. Sayed arrived precisely on time with the felucca which was in excellent, safe, clean and comfortable condition. The trip took in a generous stretch of the Nile with a lovely sunset and time for tea provided and photographs. The trip was excellent value for money. Sayed would be my first choice for felucca trips and I would be happy to go with him again as well as Mahmod and his company for any other tours. Well done and thank you to all.

This was a private tour but guide brought his “ friend” along. He said the friend can talk to me. After sunset, he decided to drop off this friend to his hotel from the boat and then continue the tour. This added 30-45 more minutes to get to shore and back again to sail so he could end the tour. Then he had the audacity to ask me if he can pick up his friend from his hotel in car before dropping me off. I thought this was a private tour I paid for but he seemed to be working for his friend. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GUIDE
We are sorry you felt disappointed, but your review does not accurately reflect what happened during the tour. The person you mentioned was not a random “friend” joining your experience. He was known to the guide and was only briefly present during part of the sailing, without affecting the private nature of your tour or interfering with your experience. As for the short stop, it was made out of courtesy and safety while already on the route, not at the expense of your tour. The guide still completed the experience professionally and ensured you were returned safely. We always respect our guests and work hard to provide enjoyable experiences to everyone. However, describing the guide as “working for his friend” is unfair and misleading. We appreciate all feedback, but we also believe reviews should present the situation fairly and accurately.
