Next, you head to Artisans Angkor. Artisans Angkor is a semi-public company which was originally created to help young Cambodian people find work near their home village in Siem Reap province. Artisans Angkor is the largest employer of Siem Reap province. It regularly invests in the opening of workshops in rural villages and in the development of new training programs. Artisans Angkor has become a real showcase of Khmer craftsmanship for its silk fabrics and garments, stone and wood carving, lacquer ware, ceramics, silver-plated copperware, silk painting, and jewelry.

Continue to Wat Thmey (Killing Fields). At the pagoda Wat Thmey in Siem Reap you will find a small memorial stupa which contains the skulls and bones of victims killed during the regime of the Khmer Rouge during 1975–1979.

After lunch at your own cost you will proceed to visit Psar Chaa - Old Market. Bustling with energy and activity, Siem Reap’s Old Market is teeming with souvenir shops, pubs, bars, and restaurants catering to backpackers and tourists. To get experience the authentic taste of the local life, head to the market at dawn with fresh vegetables, meats, and various foods on display. In addition, expect to encounter Buddha statues, local Cambodian arts and crafts for sale at the souvenir stores.

Next you will visit Wat Bo Temple. Wat Bo is one of the oldest pagodas in Siem Reap, Cambodia and has a number of well-preserved wall paintings from the 19th century. Although it is a Buddhist temple some of the wall paintings describe the famous ancient love story of Rama and Shita, the strongest man and the most beautiful women of all times. Still today the royal families of the Southeast Asian countries claim to be descendants of Rama. These wall paintings describe a Hindu story that is most remarkable in a Buddhist temple. At approximately 05:00 pm, you'll arrive back at your hotel in Siem Reap city area where the tour will end.

Wonderdful

I came, I saw, and I sit in awe The place, the people and the guide was brilliant I learnt so much of the history and culture of Siem Reep and Cambodia We should be taught about SEA history in the west. Thanks to my guide I also learnt of the current socio-cultural context of modern day Cambodia Well worth the trip
