Description

Three of amazing places that you can do in a day. Firstly, to be witness of “Thailand Only” with Meaklong Railway Market. It has a train running through right down the middle and close enough to touch. The coolest thing is the awnings and shop fronts adjusts itself and perfectly encapsulates the train as it rolls through. From Mae Klong you will take 30 minutes drive continue journey to another famous Bangkok market - Damnoen Saduak Floating market. It is a great way to see the winding canals you would not otherwise have access to on foot. Lastly , we take few more hours drive to Kanchanaburi , full of history and culture! Here is the Bridge over the River Kwae (sound likes “where”), which is a 1957 British-American epic of Second World War film and makes its famous. Also we will take you to visit Thailand-Burma War Center and War Cemetery.

Itinerary

30 min

We will take you on a walk along the market which actually sits atop the train tracks and try our tropical fruits and food from around the area until a little warning bell rings over the speaker before the train comes. The awnings are pulled back only as far as necessary, the baskets of fruit and vegetables are shifted just enough as to not be sliced by the metal wheels. Amazingly, nothing is damaged or broken, and as soon as the train passes, vendors continue as normal.

From Mae Klong you will take 30 minutes drive continue journey to another famous Bangkok market - Damnoen Saduak Floating market. If you are hungry, no worries because there is plenty of fruit, food and snacks over there such as Pad-Thai Noodles, Boat noodles soup, pork BBQ grill, coconut pudding, banana fritters, etc

Admission included45 min

It is an interactive museum, research and information center. You will learn what happened in Southeast Asia during the Second World War.

15 min

It is the main Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. There are 1,896 Dutch war graves , the rest being from British and the Commonwealth.

A must-not miss spot for tourists

Appealing Song Kwae Skywalk Bridge, Kanchanaburi, Thailand The Kanchanaburi Skywalk (Song Kwae) was known to build during pandemic COVID time. It is said to have a 150-meter-long, 12-meter-high glass-bottomed walkway built along the Kwai River and where the three rivers of Kanchanaburi, Mae Klong, Phachi and Kwai Yai rivers meet. Best time to visit is at the sunset as it offers scenic sunset views, or in the morning to avoid daytime high temperature. From the Skywalk, the visitors can admire a 60 year-old Maharat Hall on the city side and three rivers on the left. In addition to the skywalk a pedestrian street runs along the bank of the Kwai Yai river providing visitors with a public space to stroll, and relax. This is one of the sites that can be combined in half-a day trip to experience the spiritual, scenic, and modern, architectural highlights of the Kanchanaburi region in Thailand. Its glass design provides panoramic views that make a must-not miss spot for tourists interested in visiting Kanchanaburi, Thailand.
