Itinerary
Dubrovnik neighbourhoods Our journey will begin at the assigned point. You will drive through the city of Dubrovnik and explore its neighborhoods and towards the Dubrovnik bridge overlooking the old harbor. Along the way, you will be introduced to stories about the city today and its past.
Rijeka dubrovačka (River of Dubrovnik) is the area to the west of Dubrovnik from the source of the River Ombla to the Franjo Tudman bridge. Ombla is one of the smallest rivers in the world. Its length from the source to the start of brackish water (where salt and fresh water mix) is around 50 meters. Old Dubrovnik citizens valued the natural beauty of this canyon and as such is home to the greatest amount of summer residences – 24 in fact. Unfortunately many were devastated but some, such as the one in the ACI Marina, can be visited. The Gučetić-Đurđević summer residence is of great importance to the Dubrovnik Republic because it was host to the final council of noblemen in 1814.
Scenic Ride along the Coastline A beautiful ride along the Adriatic road overlooking the coast and villages will take us towards the small village of Trsetno and Arboretum.
Trsteno is situated about 12 km outside Dubrovnik north. The entrance is found right next to a huge Oriental plane tree that stretches up 50 m in the sky. Impressive! The tree has stood there for 500 years accidentally to the legend, and was planted at the same time as the Arboretum was founded. Let the adventure begin!
The Arboretum is the oldest renaissance garden in Dalmatia. It’s dated back as far as 1492 when an irrigation aqueduct was built there. The garden developed and was owned by the family residence Gučetić-Gozze. The family was very interested in plants so they ordered seeds and greenery from ships coming from exotic places from different parts of the world. Here lived the philosopher and writer Nikola Vitov Gučetić. The last owner Vito Gučetić Bosiljević (Gozze Basegli) a stone sculpture collector, made an artificial ruin and some of the sculptures were even placed around the mansion. The garden is lush and filled with Japanese banana trees, date palms, magnolia, various cactus species, and other exotic plants. During the Croatian War of Independence, Arboretum in Trsteno was heavily damaged by Serbian and Montenegrin forces, attacked by sea and by air. Arboretum was tragically burnt during the massive attacks and 80% of the vegetation burnt down. Join us to explore
At the end of the experience, we will be coming back along the Adriatic road to a starting point.

What a fantastic and unique experience! We absolutely loved exploring Dubrovnik in Ivan's beautifully maintained classic DS. It was such a special way to see the city and something we will always remember. Ivan was an excellent guide and driver; knowledgeable, friendly, and great fun to spend time with. He shared fascinating stories and local insights that made the tour feel personal and very local. A true highlight of our visit to Dubrovnik, still dreaming it!
Easy time at leisure, no stress smooth and bringing me back in the childhood
Fantastic day touring. Went to interesting local sites and also sampled local homemade fare. Great tour for those who have already done the main sites of Dubrovnik old town and are looking to do something a little different. Was initially concerned that the car would be uncomfortable, but it was amazingly comfortable and our guide was so knowledgeable. We had a great time. We will be in touch with them again and arrange to do more unique local experiences on our next trip to Dubrovnik.
I’m a big fan of old Citroens so this was unmissable. A great way to see what’s outside the city walls in absolute style. Good local knowledge plus the best car around with that amazing suspension
Without a doubt one of the best experiences we had in Dubrovnik. This is not just a tour – it’s a truly special and authentic journey through some of the most beautiful parts of the Dubrovnik area. Exploring the surroundings in the legendary vintage Citroën “Žaba” adds an incredible charm and elegance to the whole experience. It feels like stepping back in time while discovering breathtaking viewpoints, hidden gems and places you would never find on your own. Ivan is exceptional host – professional, welcoming and passionate. He creates a relaxed and personal atmosphere, making you feel more like a guest than a tourist. His knowledge of the area and attention to detail really elevate the entire tour. A highlight was definitely the tasting of homemade local products prepared by his family – fresh, authentic and absolutely delicious. It adds a genuine local touch that makes this experience stand out from anything else in Dubrovnik. If you’re looking for something exclusive, memorable and different from the usual tourist routes, this tour is an absolute must. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing experience in Dubrovnik with our large family group. Ivan welcomed us at the Old Town harbour and took us on his beautiful family wooden boat, which made the trip feel extra special. Cruising along the city walls, visiting Lokrum, and relaxing at nearby beaches was stunning—especially during sunset, when everything felt magical. The children on board had a chance to do speed boat ride while we were enjoying the scenic views. We made memories and photos we’ll cherish for years. The boat tour with Ivan, Goran, and Leo was perfectly balanced with swimming, relaxing, and enjoying snacks and coffee. The Zaba tour with Ivan and Goran showed us hidden spots, incredible viewpoints, and included delicious homemade products, adding a very personal touch. Both tours were relaxed, well-organised, and full of genuine hospitality. Highly recommended—thank you for such a special experience
What a mythic car…Love it. Best way to see sights in Dubrovnik
Loved the old car and the trip. Beautiful surroundings. Great hosts.
I love the old-timer we took this tour with and Ivan, the owner, was magnificent! So much knowledge, finesse and class, a real gentleman and a true hospitality soul! We'll be going again next year!!!
Great experience with Ivan who very passionately showed us his coty where he was born! Definitely to be suggested! 100%!
