Private Tour of Basel and Alsace Region from Zurich

Our first stop will be the city of Basel where we will see the highlights of the city including Cathedral, view of the Rhein, old town, Rathaus (historic government building) Basel is a vibrant city in northwestern Switzerland, known for its rich history, cultural diversity, and position on the borders of France and Germany. Nestled along the banks of the Rhine River, Basel boasts a unique blend of old and new, with medieval architecture in its charming Altstadt (Old Town) and cutting-edge modern design by renowned architects. The city is famous for its art scene, hosting the renowned Art Basel fair, as well as its numerous museums, including the Kunstmuseum and Fondation Beyeler. Basel is also a hub for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, making it both a cultural and economic center in Switzerland.

Second stop will be the magical village of Eguisheim where we will have time to explore. Eguisheim is a picturesque village in the Alsace region of France, known for its charming, narrow cobblestone streets lined with colorful half-timbered houses adorned with flowers. Surrounded by vineyards, this medieval village is famed for its wine production and was voted one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France." Its circular layout and historic charm make it a popular destination for visitors.

Next we will explore the village of Colmar “Le Petit France” or the little Venice. Colmar is a fairy-tale town in the Alsace region of France, known for its beautifully preserved medieval architecture, colorful half-timbered houses, and canals in the charming "Little Venice" district. Famous for its Alsatian wines and festive Christmas markets, Colmar is often regarded as one of the most picturesque towns in France.

Here we will have time for Lunch and taste traditional food at a local restaurant, prices range between 20€-40€. This is one of my favorite villages, here we will explore the village, and of course we cannot leave the Alsace vineyard valley without a wine tasting. The village of Riquewihr is a stunning medieval village in France’s Alsace region, known for its beautifully preserved half-timbered houses, narrow cobblestone streets, and vibrant flowers. Nestled among vineyards, it’s celebrated for its wine and charm, making it one of the “Most Beautiful Villages in France.”

Finally back to our final destination zurich, you will be dropped off at the same location as picked up
