We will take the car to the Basilica Sanctuary of Our Lady of Meritxell.
The Sanctuary of Meritxell, located in Andorra, is a place of devotion and peace, dedicated to the Virgin of Meritxell, the country's patron saint. Rebuilt after a fire in 1972 by architect Ricardo Bofill, the sanctuary combines modern architecture and tradition. Its minimalist design and wide spaces filled with natural light create a serene atmosphere. Inside, the replica of the Virgin stands out as a symbol of faith, while the chapels and views of the valley offer an atmosphere of reflection and spirituality.

The Basilica of Montserrat, located in the heart of the Montserrat mountain range, is one of the main pilgrimage centres in Catalonia and home to the venerated Virgin of Montserrat, known as "La Moreneta". This Marian sanctuary is an emblematic place both for its religious devotion and for its spectacular natural setting. Upon entering the basilica, you are greeted by its imposing Renaissance-style façade, while its interior stands out for its mix of Gothic and Renaissance styles. One of the main points is the main altar, which houses the image of La Moreneta, a 12th-century Romanesque carving, which attracts thousands of pilgrims every year. Going up to venerate it is a unique experience, where the atmosphere of contemplation and spirituality is palpable. Located in an impressive natural setting, surrounded by mountains and rocks sculpted by time, the Basilica of Montserrat offers a complete experience.

We enjoyed a perfect day in Andorra and Montserrat! Rodrigo was the best guide imaginable. He was engaging, knowledgeable about history and the local cultures and language, and patient. He made learning about these magnificent destinations great fun. We would definitely recommend this beautiful tour again!!
Rodrigo was the most outstanding guide. He picked us up at our hotel and took us to Montserrat with stops along the way. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and knew just where to stop for the best photos as well as outstanding castles. He was courteous and always concerned about exceeding our expectations. He took us to an out of the way local restaurant for lunch in Andorra and also knew just where to go for the best pictures. He always dropped us off at the site before parking and made us feel at home. You don't want to miss this exceptional tour.
Very enjoyable day to visit Andorra and Montaerrat. Our guide, Marian, shared much knowledge and insight about both locations. Our driver, Julius, was equally as good. It was a long day, 11+ hours, but was well worth it.

This is a great tour if you only have one day to add Andorra to your list of countries and also visit Montserrat. Rodrigo is a very experienced, outstanding guide. Although it's several hours in the car, the drive is beautiful, and Rodrigo made the time pass quickly. The tour company is well organized, and the communication was outstanding. I had a wonderful time!
