George was great, tour was amazing. Van was very comfortable with great AC. Went to Alabaster shop that had fair prices and no pressure to buy. Overall a great trip and tour with guide who was knowledgeable and patient with us.
My husband and I have been wanting to go to Egypt for years and it took us a long time to settle on a tour guide for the trip of a lifetime. From the very beginning our communication with Michael from GoLuxor was great. Every detail of our tour was meticulously planned out. We really wanted to do a private tour of the interior of the pyramids of Giza and Michael was able to arrange this for us. It was an unforgettable experience being able to walk on the Giza plateau without anyone else around you and then climb inside the pyramid to the interior chambers alone without any crowds. Experiencing it without other people makes you realize how massive the pyramids are and how small you are in comparison. Even when our tour needed to start a day later because of airline issues, Michael was able to make sure we saw all the sites we wanted to see. My husband enjoys photography and we requested to get to a site early in the morning for the shot to be done in the early light and it was perfect. Our private tour consisted of two nights in Luxor and then three nights in Cairo. All of the airline transfers were seamless with our private driver and amazing tour guides. We learned so much of the Egyptian culture with our knowledgeable guides. Michael and George were our guides in Luxor and Yehya was our guide in Cairo. They were all Egyptologists who could seriously answer any question we had about ancient and modern day Egypt. Walking through the sites with someone who knows what to point out to you makes all the difference when trying to appreciate something that is 4000 years old! We also really enjoyed Yehya’s thoughtful insights at the Grand Egyptian Museum. We would without a doubt recommend GoLuxor to anyone looking for an enriching and exciting visit to Egypt!
This was an excellent, professional trip. We were looked after extremely well and given a wealth of information. The pace and timings were thoughtful.
From the moment we connected with Michael to the moment he dropped us off at the airport, everything was above and beyond. Genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth, he helped us make this first trip to Egypt an easy and magical experience. Always very attentive to our questions, he even helped us navigate with confidence at locations crowded by tourists or vendors. Go Luxor Tours was recommended to us by friends who visited Egypt in 2016, and they ran out of words to express how great their experience also was with Michael and his team. Ten years later, we are blessed to have him available to help us explore the country. Our trip itinerary included Giza, Aswan, and Luxor. During our stay in Giza, Michael put us in the hands of an Egyptologist called Yehya who made our first impressions of the country and the company be wonderful. Cairo is a unique city and the traffic can be very intimidating. Our driver (also named Michael) and Yehya were always on time and there for us. In Aswan and Luxor we were lucky to have Michael himself with us throughout the rest of the trip. Besides the scheduled Egyptian sites, we stopped at some spice and tea shops, as well as flower essences, a street market, a papyrus factory, a gold and silver shop, and maybe something else I might be forgetting now. If you do not speak the language and wish to have a private tour guide and tourism company taking care of your experience, I say Go Luxor Tours will certainly help you with that. Connect with Michael and share your wishes for your trip, and he will help you go beyond!
Dear Mrs. Rebeca, Wow thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful review. It truly means a lot to all of us. We especially appreciate you mentioning that your friends recommended us after their trip back in 2016—there’s no better compliment than that kind of trust, especially when it carries on over the years. It’s something we truly value and work hard to live up to every day in Egypt tours. Michael puts his heart into every trip, and it really means a lot to hear that his approach being friendly, attentive, and down to earth helped make your first visit to Egypt feel smooth and memorable. We’re also very glad you felt supported navigating the busy sites and local atmosphere, as that’s a big part of what we aim to provide through our private Egypt tours. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to the whole team, they’ll really appreciate it. It’s wonderful to know your time across Giza, Aswan, and Luxor, along with the local experiences along the way, all came together into something so special. Creating personalized Egypt tours with a balance of history and authentic local moments is always our goal. Thank you again for trusting us with your journey. It was a real pleasure having you with us, and we truly hope to welcome you back again in the future for another Egypt tour.
My wife and I visited Egypt and had a fantastic time with Go Luxor Tours. Mike was very responsive and easy to work with. I don’t know where to begin. I found Go Luxor Tours through the internet on various blog platforms and reddit and decided to make the jump after speaking with Mike. Not only did we do the full day experience but he also arranged all of our transportation including round trip flights from Cairo and airport transportation all in one very long, exhausting, yet magical day. We hit some speed bumps with the US presidents daughter visiting the same day but Mike masterfully pivoted and gave us the best day. He knows his history and also makes the best photographer! He even helped me get my very own cartouche made and surprised me with a birthday cake and full song at lunch! Mike and Go Luxor Tours made my dreams come true. Just book it!

We visited Egypt during late December and early January with our extended family. 11 of us! We started planning late (October) and we got in touch with Mike through Go Luxor Tours to help us. He was so willing to help even though we didn’t give him much time! He booked a wonderful Nile cruise, excellent guides, fun excursions and was so accommodating with our last minute changes - adding a hot air balloon ride and Nubian Village. He must never sleep because he promptly answered all of our questions and messages. He was truly amazing to work with and is so fun and friendly as well. We felt safe and were in good hands the entire time. We can’t thank Mike enough for all he did to make this a truly memorable experience for our family!
We used Mike and GoLuxor tours for a 10 day visit to Egypt for a family of 11. Mike and the team took care of every last detail of our trip. When we had a small issue on the boat for our cruise portion, he took responsibility for communicating directly with the cruise staff to help us resolve it. The three different guides we had for the entire tour were all excellent and very knowledgeable about Egypt. They were able to answer our questions. They were very polite and always went that extra step to help us with anything that we needed. The price for the overall tour was very reasonable. Mike also helped us with regards to making sure that we were familiar with what were going to be doing and what to expect on any given day. After the tour when we had an Airbnb in Cairo, he also made sure that we knew our way around and didn’t have any issues. When we made a trip to go see some family he suggested an Uber instead of taking a van which would’ve cost more. He really made sure from the beginning that we had a great time in Egypt and was VERY responsive the entire trip. We highly recommend.
Mike our tour guide is AWESOME!!!! Friendly, welcoming, and very very knowledgable. We covered East and West Bank very thoroughly and enjoyed every second of it!
