Private Tour Fayoum Oasis & WATERFALLS & Sandboarding with LUNCH

Overall fun experience, but not exactly as we imagined it to be. What you get is a driver for the duration of the trip. Our driver Shady was great. What we felt that was lacking was a guide or someone to give an explanation on the places we saw/visited. We were first dropped of at the Valley of the Whales to explore on our own. Then we drove in the desert to the Oasis to chill a bit and slide with the board in the sand (you can't actually stand on it). Then we were taken to see a little waterfall (nothing too impressive to be honest). Then lunch and driving back. I did enjoy the views a lot and the drive in the desert was really adrenaline packed. I would say the tour overall is quite pricey, because DO NOTE that you have to pay additional 40 USD cash on the day. Also it's very far from Cairo, so be prepared to sit in a car for most of the day. Just want to manage expectations for others :)

This has been our favourite experience in Egypt so far. My kids and I will never forget this wonderful day. Ahmed and Hany were so accommodating and fun. Hany is an expert driver on the sand dunes, keeping us at the edge of our seats. Ahmed made sure he captured amazing photos for us throughout the trip and looked after us through every step. The head office was also so helpful. We needed to make some changes to our itinerary before the trip and they were so flexible and helpful with everything. Magic lake was incredibly beautiful, the whale fossils so fascinating, sandboarding so fun and the lunch was delicious too. You won't regret booking this tour.

This place is such a beautiful sight. We had 2 drivers with us who gave us an exciting day. Driver Ahmed is the best. He made the whole trip so fun. We were mesmerised by the beauty of the dessert and the magic lakes. Its definitely a must see place.

Guide Noor - Simply Exceptional: Noor was hands-down one of the best guides we had during our entire Egyptian trip. He was energetic, fun, and knew exactly how to make this tour an unforgettable adventure. His knowledge of Fayoum, the fossils at Wadi El-Hitan, and the desert landscape was impressive, but what really stood out was his vibrant personality and genuine enthusiasm. Noor took us to all the right places and ensured we experienced the best of what Fayoum has to offer. He was attentive, flexible, and made sure everyone in our group was having a great time. The best Safari experience with cars you can experience !!!! sandsurf in the Desert with views of the Oasis!!! Our office closed transportation from the hotel to the oasis Fayoum where we were waiting for an amazing guide who took us to the safari!!! In addition the food that the company offers is traditional and in a superb place!!!

We joined this day trip to Al Fayoum from Cairo as a couple and had a really great time. Our driver picked us up directly from our hotel, and although the tour started around 10 a.m. instead of 9 (since we booked at the last minute), everything afterwards went smoothly. The drive through the desert was beautiful, and switching to the 4x4 for the off-road part was an amazing experience on its own. The guides were friendly, helpful, and made sure we had fun throughout the day. We visited the Valley of the Whales, went sandboarding (which was so much fun), and then jumped straight into the Magic Lake to cool off — definitely one of the highlights! Later, we enjoyed a traditional lunch at a desert camp — simple but tasty (chicken with rice and salad). Before heading back to Cairo, we also stopped to see the small waterfalls, which made a nice ending to the trip. Just a small note for future travelers: the $20 “safari” fee mentioned in the description isn’t optional as we initially thought, so make sure to include it in your total cost.
