Description

Delft is like a smaller version of Amsterdam, but quieter. It has beautiful canals, centuries-old houses, and churches. You can visit one of Delft's famous pottery factories, where the typical blue-and-white ceramics are made, see the New Church where many members of the Royal Family have been buried, or just have a stroll in the beautiful streets of the historical city centre. After Delft, you will continue your journey to the city of The Hague and its neighbouring beach town Scheveningen. You can visit The Hage’s downtown to do some shopping or to see the world's oldest still working parliament Binnenhof, also you will see the Peace Palace where the International Tribunal is housed and the Royal Palace where our king holds office. Or maybe you'd like a stroll on the beach. This odd-but-fun theme park consists of highly detailed 1:25 scale versions of the Netherlands' most iconic places and buildings, such as Schiphol Airport, the Port of Rotterdam, and the Rijksmuseum.

Great Personalized, Private Tour from Amsterdam to The Hague & Delft

We had a great day with our driver, Robin. He promptly picked us up at our Amsterdam hotel in a very clean and comfortable van, and he did a great job driving throughout the day. He was very informative about the history of Amsterdam and The Netherlands. He took the "scenic route" on our way to the first stop at Madurodam. We drove through The Hague, stopping at The Peace Palace for photos. We also went to the Delft factory and stopped at the historic city square. Then we had a nice drive back to Amsterdam and he dropped us back off at our hotel. I am so glad we found this option, rather than booking a large group bus tour, or even a "small group" tour, because it was just our group of 3, and we were able to choose where we wanted to stop and how long we wanted to stay at each place.

A great tour of The Hague-Delft and more

The Hague and Delft tour requires a guide. It is a good distance from Amsterdam and there is a rich history. Robin was an exceptional guide. He knows the area and the history and culture. It was a day full of information and sites that satisfied our goals.. To top it off he was considerate of our needs and even found a way to add extra value by getting us tickets for a rare, sold out tour. We feel fortunate that he was our guide. His English was easy to understand. As a guide, he always had something important to add to every experience. It was worth every cent and more.
