Itinerary
The Grand Palace is a complex of buildings at the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. The palace has been the official residence of the Kings of Siam (and later Thailand) since 1782. The king, his court, and his royal government were based on the grounds of the palace until 1925. King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), resided at the Chitralada Royal Villa and his successor King Vajiralongkorn (Rama X) at the Amphorn Sathan Residential Hall, both in the Dusit Palace, but the Grand Palace is still used for official events. Several royal ceremonies and state functions are held within the walls of the palace every year. The palace is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Thailand
The temple is first on the list of six temples in Thailand classed as the highest grade of the first-class royal templ. It is associated with King Rama I who rebuilt the temple complex on an earlier temple site. It became his main temple and is where some of his ashes are enshrined. The temple was later expanded and extensively renovated by Rama III. The temple complex houses the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand, including a 46 m long reclining Buddha. The temple is considered the earliest centre for public education in Thailand, and the marble illustrations and inscriptions placed in the temple for public instructions has been recognised by UNESCO in its Memory of the World Programme. It houses a school of Thai medicine, and is also known as the birthplace of traditional Thai massage which is still taught and practiced at the temple.
Wat Traimit in Bangkok is known for housing a 5.5-tonne statue of a seated Buddha. The gold sculpture dates back to the 13th century and measures at nearly 5 metres in height. Located in Chinatown Bangkok, this ornate temple is about 450 metres west of the Hualampong Railway Station
Wat Arun, locally known as Wat Chaeng, is a landmark temple on the west (Thonburi) bank of the Chao Phraya river. It’s easily one of the most stunning temples in Bangkok, not only because of its riverside location but also because the design is very different from the other temples you can visit in the Thai capital. Wat Arun (nicknamed the 'Temple of Dawn') is partly made up of colourfully decorated spires and stands majestically over the water. Wat Arun is almost directly opposite Wat Pho, so it’s very easy to get to. From Saphan Taksin boat pier you can take a riverboat that stops at Pier 8. From here, a small shuttle boat takes you from one side of the river to the other.

I relied on Inviaggi to arrange a private tour to Bangkok + transfers to/from the airport and to/from Koh-Lipe. Impeccable organization, at each of our arrival / departure there was always the driver ready to accompany us; the guides speaking a perfect Italian accompanied us for 2 half days to discover the Royal Palace, the Temples, floating market and market on the railway. Accommodation in both Bangkok and Koh Lipe was ideal for us, both as a location and for comfort. We had a contact person on site who assisted us with a couple of inquiries. I would recommend to everyone my experience with Inviaggi; I consider the value for money very good
Our guide was so sweet and we loved all the detail she shared about the palace and temples. Appreciated that she shared information in the shade. It was hot. Loved the door to door service and the lunch was great!
the tour was excellent. our tour guide was very responsive and knowledgeable. we spent good time at the temples and palace. would definitely recommend the private tour.
Congratulations to all the InnViaggi staff, excellent organization, punctuality and courtesy of the guides and drivers to whom I extend heartfelt thanks, and also to Jacopo and his collaborator Sandrine, who planned my trip as I wanted, enriching it with useful advice. Excellent hotels and beautiful places visited. I absolutely recommend contacting them for a trip to Thailand!!!!
We payed for a private tour to the temples of Bangkok, 8 am morning pickup. They never showed up and never contacted us after numerous attempts to reach them. Only form of communication was through Viator app. Calling phone number only let to unfunctioning line. After waiting an hour and a half we made alternative arrangements. As this was our last day in Bangkok, the only time to see the Temples was in the afternoon. We were intentionally trying to avoid this because of the extreme temps (~ 100 degrees F). We went anyway but cut tour short because the heat was unbearable (I know, Bangkok in March, but still). Never heard from company. Only bright spot was that we got a refund (After calling Viator - but it wasn’t a given). I rarely write negative reviews (if you don’t have anything good to say etc). However, there are a lot of options for tour guides Bangkok, don’t go with these guys.
Unfortunately, shortly before the excursion our guide fell ill and was rushed to hospital. We apologize for what happened but as you can understand it was a situation of force majeure and not of our will. We immediately issued a refund for the unused excursion and in all honesty we don't think we deserve this review, more than 300 positive reviews demonstrate our seriousness and professionalism.
The private tour is worth it with your own guide and vehicle. Lunch at a local restaurant near the grand palace was excellent too!! Our guide arranged it and was included in the tour. But be prepared to navigate your way around the temples with your guide around too many tourists 9
Our guide P’ Amika was excellent—knowledgeable, friendly and professional! And our driver was great too. We learned so much about Bangkok, the culture and history. Finished up a little early and that was fine with us. Would definitely recommend!
Holiday in Thailand for 11 people impeccably organized. 3 days in Bangkok and then transfer to Phuket Island to see the South and Islands. All spun according to schedule, perfect transfers, Italian guide with private tour in Bangkok to temples, royal palace and markets. In Phuket Andrea was our contact person, absolutely perfect and professional. Organized excursions even with little advance and always run smoothly. It is not easy to organize a holiday for 11 people on the other side of the world, but with these professionals who solve doubts and find solutions even with a message can be done and can be perfect. I highly recommend relying on them!
We let the tour go on without us. We sat in a cafe in the temple grounds, had coffee, and as my friend is Thai, we went to speak with some of the monks. It was a fab day all round
