Bến Dược tunnels is about 20km farther away than popular-Bến-Đình area and attracts fewer foreign tourists. There is also a massive temple in memory of Vietnamese killed at Củ Chi, it is, at present, the largest war memorial in Việt Nam. If you are looking for an authentic experience to a less touristy site in a small budget, this package is a perfect choice for you.

Itinerary
Your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and after leaving Hồ Chí Minh City, we drive about 1,5 hours through the pleasant countryside before arriving at Bến Dược tunnels, Củ Chi. We may stop along the way for refreshments and toilet. • Upon arrival, you’ll watch a brief of propaganda video, which explains how the tunnels were used to successfully defeat American military forces in combat. • The tour continues and the guide explains some traps that were placed in the jungles of Việt Nam to either maim American soldiers or create panic amongst the ranks. • From here, you can enter one of the tunnel entrances and crawl through the tunnels is a real experience to imagine how people could live there for an extended period! • Take some rest at the end for a taste of Củ Chi boiled tapioca and thinking what humans are capable of when having to defend their home. We drive back to Hồ Chí Minh city. At the end of your morning tour, you will have 2 options: • Option 1: Drop you back to the pick-up point. • Option 2: We can take you to a local restaurant in the city center, where you can enjoy a complimentary Vietnamese three-course lunch, and then make your own leisurely way back to your place. Notes: • Lunch option is only applied for morning tour. • Please inform your choice to our tour-guide in advance. • Option 1 will apply to all tour dates EXCEPT the period from February 1-10, 2019. • Please note that timing and itinerary are subject to change without notice. However, we will do everything we reasonably can to make sure everything goes according to plan.

unforgetable tour. Our guide Peter was awesome. Learned a lot about the war and tunnels and that was exactly what I was looking forward to. Peter was the perfect guide for this tour. He is an upbeat and knowledgeable individual who knows a lot about Vietnam’s history. Private cu chi tunnels was great, he handled everyone very professionally 😀 I thoroughly enjoyed my trip and would recommend this experience and Peter to anyone who is keen to explore the cu chi tunnels!
We had a great and very informative day discovering the tunnels of Cu Chi! Our guide Theo was very energetic and took the time to explain Vietnam's history vividly without losing his sense of humour! A great day of discovery and respect for all the people who lost their lives in the numerous wars that took place in this country. Not to be missed!

We had a trip from our hotel's travel desk so it was a bit more expensive, but about the qualities was very fabulous. Very tiny hole called Cu cchi tunnels and it was my difficult challenge when I got through it, my imagine back to the war of them with a gun on hands lol. Food was awesome after lost so much energy for activities. Highly recommend!!
Me and my bf, we had a short trip in Viet nam jusf only 2weeks from north to south and this trip was our last destination. It came over our mind by reappeared a panoramic views of Viet nam's war, held by our clever guide, west vietnam's food was different experience during viet nam journey... hope to come back soon!!
Normally I'm always scared of narrow and small space. So when I was introduced this group tour from a friend, I was hesitating. Then my bf encourage me to give it a try. And it turned out we had such a very awesome experience with our tour guide Kien. The tunnel is really really exclusive and creative. It helped me to imagine how smart Vietnammese people are. It's helpful to understand Vietnammese history as well.

Excellent tour to have activities in between to experience more of the culture. Our guide was terrific, and he was very knowledge, sense of humor. We surely recommend our friends to meet him whenever they come to Ho Chi Minh.
