Private Sloth's Rainforest Tour & Llanos Del Cortez Waterfalls

We did a private tour with five adults and two young girls, and it was a wonderful experience. The rainforest walk was the highlight—we saw an incredible variety of animals, and our guide and driver were both friendly and very accommodating. The waterfall wasn’t quite as impressive to us, but the rainforest walk alone made the tour worthwhile. Highly recommend it!

Kenneth and Juan were excellent tour guides. They picked us up on our doorstep and were super accommodating the entire day. The Ciara Rican lunch was amazing and they accommodated our 4 younger kids with a kid appropriate lunch. When we got to the waterfalls we were allowed as much time as we wanted. We would definitely recommend traveling with them. Thank you for a wonderful day!

While the rainforest and watefall were wonderful and our tour guide was very friendly, we were never provided any snacks or water and the restaurant we were supposed to have lunch at was closed. So we went 6 hours with no food and only the water that we brought with us. I contacted Viator for a partial refund but they declined to offer any compensation. Very disappointed as I have always had a good experience booking with them but certainly won't be booking with them again.

Our day in the rainforest and at the waterfall with Kenneth was the absolute epitome of Pura Vida. From start to finish, the experience felt completely personalized and relaxed—never rushed, just a perfect day exploring at our own pace. Kenneth truly customized the tour for our family and took us to places we never would have discovered on our own. In the rainforest, we saw all the animals we had been hoping to find—sloths, monkeys, snakes, and beautiful birds. Kenneth’s knowledge and eye for spotting wildlife made the experience even more special. One of our favorite moments was an impromptu stop at a small local fruit stand where we had the most incredible fresh pineapple and coconut water—so simple and so memorable. He also brought us to the most delicious, authentic lunch spot tucked away in the rainforest. It felt less like a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone’s home, and the food was outstanding. At the waterfall, we were able to swim while the boys happily chased minnows in the shallow water—such a fun and peaceful way to enjoy the setting. What really made the day special was Kenneth himself. By the end of the tour, it felt like a family friend was showing us around to all of his favorite hidden gems. His warmth, knowledge, and genuine love for his country made the experience unforgettable. Our whole family had an amazing time. If you have the chance to explore with Kenneth, don’t hesitate—it was truly one of the highlights of our trip!

My boyfriend and I were vacationing in Costa Rica in January 2026. We wanted to go to the Rainforest and booked with Kenneth! He was very friendly and personable! My BF became sick and we had to reschedule twice! Kenneth was understanding and accommodating! We had a fantastic excursion!! Kenneth was very knowledgeable about Costa Rican history, current events, culture…and loved sharing with us! We learned so much! Another plus was he spoke very good English! When we arrived at the Rainforest…a guide was waiting for us! I don’t remember his name, but he was awesome! He pointed out animals, explained about different plants and took awesome photos for us! His enthusiasm and knowledge was very much appreciated! And the surprise at the end…the baby sloth!…was priceless! When we finished, Kenneth was there waiting for us and took us next door for a delicious authentic Costa Rican lunch! It was cooked on an open fire! Our journey back to the resort was unforgettable…Kenneth took us on the OMG road and it was quite the experience and very scenic! At the top, we got out of the van and the views were incredible and exhilarating!! Kenneth was the Best tour guide…so attentive and kind! We would hire him again for sure! Pura Vida 🫶🏼

I am an amateur photographer and was hoping for a private tour guide in search of sloth, toucan, and other rain forest inhabitants. I had read positive reviews about Kenneth and asked for him specifically. He wrote me back right away and we were off a couple of days later. I told Kenneth I was not interested in the waterfall but would rather have extended time in the rainforest. He couldn't have been more accommodating. The drive there (and back) on the OMG road was an adventure in itself and Kenneth was very patient and stopped numerous times along the way to accommodate my picture taking requests. Upon arrival at the rainforest Kenneth set me up with a terrific guide/naturalist Jose for an unforgettable hike deep in the forest. I got some terrific shots of sloths, toucans, frogs, etc. The low quality shots I share were taken with a phone camera through Jose's spotting scope. I have much better shots (2 toed asleep and terrific 3 toed sloths very much awake) taken with my long lens but have yet to process them. Kenneth was also a great source of information about the history and culture of Costa Rica. We enjoyed a Costa Rican home cooked meal after my photo safari. All in all, a very memorable day with a remarkable tour guide. Thank you Kenneth and thank you Outdoor Adventures

Kenneth was the perfect private tour guide for my family. So friendly, knowledgeable answered all our questions. We ate Costa Rican fruit, he brought us to a beautiful waterfall and we saw many animals especially a close up with a baby sloth in the rainforest. We also had a delicious authentic chicken/steak and rice lunch within the rainforest w a local family who lives there . Highly recommend him! His english is excellent and he was so friendly, honest and thoughtful.

I went on a day tour with Kenny and 3 of my friends. Kenny provided an experience I will remember the rest of my life. Kenny picked our group up at 8:00 AM at the resort we were staying at. He then brought us to a fruit stand where we drank fresh coconut water and had the best pineapple ever!! Afterwards we stopped at a grocery store for supplies and then went to a local bakery for coffee and pastries. Then we stopped at a chicharron stand. Kenny then brought us to a waterfall where we swam and then jumped off a cliff into a lagoon, it was unreal!! We then went into the rainforest where a guide showed us many wild animals such as frogs, birds, snakes and even sloths!! We then had a authentic Costa Rican meal made for us which was delicious. We then stopped at a coffee and cocoa farm where we had fresh coffee and made our own fresh cocoa powder. Then Kenny brought us back to our resort at 7:30 PM. At no point did we feel rushed during the experience. It was an incredible day and I would recommend anybody visiting Costa Rica to use Kenny's services. Not only does he provide an amazing experience, he is also very knowledgeable about the local biodiversity!! I will be using Kenny's services on my next visit!!
