This day trip to the sandy beach at Sabaudia is a great way to escape the heat and crowds of Rome. We'll pick you up right at your lodgings and after about an hour's drive you'll be enjoying the golden sand beach and turquoise water of this tranquil seaside paradise.
At Sabaudia beach, you'll spend the day relaxing, swimming, eating strolling, and breathing in the refreshing sea air. Bring your own towels or rent beach chairs and umbrellas at one of the bathing establishments, where you can also get refreshments and things to eat. A variety of restaurants are also within walking distance. Perfect for families and sun-and-sea lovers who want to experience the Italian seaside summer scene. If you fancy a little history in addition to suntanning, you'll have a perfect view of Torre Paola, the watchtower built in 1563, under the orders of Pope Pius IV, at a time the coast was under frequent attack by Saracen invaders. Sabaudia’s also close to the pretty beach town of San Felice Circeo, just 30 minutes away by car. To avoid traffic, we suggest an early departure from (7:30 am). The duration of the day trip is about 9/10 hours total, including driving times. Be sure to bring sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and water if you don't fee like buying it.

The entire day was perfect because of our driver, Vlad! He picked the most amazing beach day for us! Quiet, beautiful and awesome food. The only complaint was that because we were not overnight guests the resort would not provide us towels, even though we paid for umbrella and chairs, which makes no sense! I text Vlad and he immediately went the resort manager and got us towels! If you want someone that provides you the best service, professional and kind demeanor, please ask for Vlad! He's the best of the best!

Vlad did an amazing job. The beach was beautiful. The resort was great. But Vlad really made the experience special. He looked after us the entire time, speaking to resort staff on our behalf and ensuring that we were fully taken care of. It was a day we wont forget.

We used Driver in Rome for a sandy beach day trip to Sabaudia beach and for several transports in Rome. Our Sabaudia beach driver, Daniel, was excellent. He gave us details about Rome and the surrounding area as we drove through. He also made sure we were well taken care of throughout the day - from getting great sandwiches, beach toys for the kids, finding the perfect beach club, and even running us by a baby store on our way back in. The trip and driver were excellent! We also had wonderful experiences with our transport drivers, particularly Matteo, who was also very patient with our three young children even stopping for a bathroom break during a short transport drive. We also had a great experience working with Sharon to arrange all of the tours. They provided car seats and she was very happy to accommodate several changes to my requests. My only tip for airport pick ups would be to ask for your pick up time to be about 45 minutes after the plane is scheduled to arrive. Our airport pick up driver seemed surprised (perhaps unhappy) that it took about 45 minutes to get through passport control and collect luggage before we could get to the meeting point. She had been waiting since arrival, but of course we weren’t at the meeting point once the plane arrived.
