My husband and I had a wonderful time exploring Egypt, both land and sea. We tried different types of tours including a dive live-aboard, Nile Cruise, having only a driver and exploring sights on our own and having a private guide. I would highly recommend having a private guide if you are doing a Nile Cruise and/or exploring Egypt by land. Our guide, Roshdy Khodary, was a wonderful private guide. He took care of everything and he took care of us. We learned so much. He is extremely knowledgeable in Egyptian history. He provided great advice for navigating bazaars and helped us with special requests. When we return to dive in the North Red Sea and explore Egypt some more, we will definitely be asking Roshdy Khodary to be our guide again.
I had an amazing time on this Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan. My tour guide Roshdy Khodary was very knowledgeable about all the sites that we visited each day and had a lot of information about the many cultures that helped shape Egypt into the amazing country that it is today. I Will highly recommend Reflection Tours to anyone who is interested in taking a trip to Egypt and will also suggest that they request getting Roshdy as their tour guide if that’s possible. Thanks to Reflection Tours and Roshdy for an amazing experience.
Just wonderful. With Franco Rosso perfectly organized, Monty drives very good and careful. The only flaw is the vendors on the street who are quite insistent bordering on harassing. Magnificent and charming places, dreamy sunsets.. We also ate very well, what about highly recommended
We stayed at the end of May 7 days on the La Terasse from Luxor to Aswan and back. The La Terasse is already a slightly older ship but the cabins and all facilities were clean and tidy. The food was excellent. You have to be amazed what the kitchen chrew has conjured up in such a confined space. The excursions were very interesting and educational. Only the weather was crazy. We had temperatures of almost 50 degrees in the shade in places and in May. But the temple tombs and columns were worth every drop of sweat.
The Nile cruise was part of a round trip in Egypt, booked on sonnenklar.tv. The local organizer was Meeting Point Egypt. The ship AlKahila was a little older, but well maintained. Food on board great. Of course, you are partly at different mooring points with other ships in the package. The guide, studied Egyptologist with perfect knowledge of German, was very competent and nice. The excursion package must be booked separately, at the time of travel 216€. Certainly cheaper separately, but who can manage without good language skills? Expect to be annoyed by vendors who want to bring their waste to the tourist every time they visit.
A very nice Nile cruise. However, the " 5 star ship" was already very antique! The cabins on the middle deck were in machines nearby and it smelled of fuel! The showers were in bathtub form, and you had great trouble getting in and out of them as you got older! But everything was very clean. The food was varied and excellent!
We have booked this cruise with Phoenix Reisen Bonn 20.-27.10. We did not sail on a pure Phoenix ship, but were embarked as an 18-person group on the MS Princess Sarah II. We booked a double cabin in the middle deck. The Princess Sarah II is based on the direction of "Old English coziness" in terms of the equipment, i.e. with a lot of wood and a few frills here and there. The equipment of the ship and the cabin is perfectly fine and the sanitary facilities also leave a good impression. The cabin was of sufficient size and offered a good view with the panoramic window. The cabin stewards cleaned the cabin properly and made a lot of fun out of towels to represent new animals. The view was restricted only in a few cases in a port when we were the second of three vessels to be moored at the pier. But that didn't bother us much, because we were then mostly on the road anyway. Food on board was excellent. There were different theme nights and the buffet was always adequately stocked. The Princess Sarah II staff was always nice, friendly and attentive. The tour guide of Phoenix Ihab Mosier (I hope the last name is right), an Egyptian who speaks excellent German, accompanied all excursions and could tell something about the respective facilities. In addition, there were lectures on the "History of Egypt" or "Life in Egypt Today" on some evenings. Some temple complexes were very well visited, but Phoenix can't help it. Nevertheless, these facilities were absolutely impressive. We liked the trip very much and we will recommend it further.
We were very disappointed with this "cruise", we were not checked into our booked ship ! We had booked MS Grand Palm and about 10 hours before departure we casually learned about the change to MS Grand Rose ! For the first 2 days we lay crammed between 3 more ships in Luxor, no daylight on the cabin ! Same again in Aswan! Excursions in Luxor and Aswan very expensive, better do everything on your own! Food was on board for this ship quite OK, otherwise the cabins are musty and the cleanliness also leaves something to be desired, air conditioning was completely overgrown with mold. The staff was very friendly , nevertheless we cannot recommend this cruise
