Itinerary
The biggest attraction of Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine is that you can also see Mount Fuji's five-story pagoda. The vermilion-dyed large torii gate is a spectacular sight, and you can see Mt. Fuji from the gate. In spring and autumn, you can enjoy both cherry blossoms and autumn leaves at the same time.To get to the park, you have to climb 400 steps.
Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Fuji Five Lakes located at the northern foot of Mount Fuji, is the second largest of the five lakes. Surrounded by mountains, you can enjoy cherry blossoms, autumn leaves, and a variety of other flowers.
Oishi Park is one of the most spectacular spots around Lake Kawaguchi, where you can get a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji across the lake. Oishi Park, which offers a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji, is particularly popular with tourists and photographers. At Oishi Park, you can enjoy seasonal flowers such as kochia and lavender.
At the foot of Mount Fuji, in the northwest corner of Lake Saiko, you can feel like you've traveled back in time. This area, lined with thatched roof houses, was once home to the Neba village, which was said to be "the most beautiful in Japan." Now it has attracted attention as a spot that brings back memories and fresh surprises, and is visited by many tourists from both Japan and abroad.
Narusawa Ice Cave is a cavity that was created after lava flowed out during the eruption of Mount Nagao, a lateral volcano of Mount Fuji, in 864. The temperature inside the cave averages just 3°C, and it is covered in ice all year round. The highlight is the icicles that form when water droplets seep from the ceiling freeze. The ground is also slippery and slippery, so please hold on to the slope and proceed carefully.
It is about 20 meters high and over 150 meters wide, with countless thin streams cascading down the cliff like hanging white threads. The greatest attraction of the waterfall is that the meltwater and rainwater from Mount Fuji travels underground and gushes out all at once from gaps in the lava layers.
As the head shrine of approximately 1,300 Asama shrines across Japan, Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine venerates the sacred spirit of Mount Fuji and other volcanoes. Its profound cultural and spiritual significance was acknowledged in 2013 when it was inscribed as a key component of the Mount Fuji UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.

We had an amazing private tour with Tony. Even though the weather was rainy and Mt. Fuji was not visible, Tony helped us make the most of the day and gave us a wonderful experience. He was flexible, patient, and thoughtful with our family of six. He adjusted the itinerary based on the weather and helped us visit Lake Kawaguchi, Oishi Park, Wind Cave, Ice Cave, and Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine. The caves were also very affordable, at 600 yen per adult and 300 yen for children 12 and under. We also stopped at Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba, but it was closed due to the weather, so Tony added a fun stop at Melody Road to make up for it. Super cool! He also found a spot for us to eat a delicious hot pot lunch at a very tasty Korean restaurant and made a quick 7-Eleven stop so we could get snacks for the ride back. Tony was kind and professional, and he made the day feel relaxed instead of rushed. He shared stories and some history as we drove past certain sights along the way. We saw everything we hoped to see and had a beautiful rainy-day Fuji experience. Highly recommend Tony for a private tour!
Tony was a safe driver and a pleasure to be with for the entire day. He was very accommodating with our stops and last minute additions/changes to our itinerary. His English was very good and we had no problem communicating with him. We would hire him again.
Amazing tour! We visited Mount Fuji, the Ice Cave, and the Wind Cave. Our guide was great and even took us on Japan’s Melody Road, which was a fun surprise. We also stopped for food and a 7-Eleven on the way back. Everything was well organized and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with our driver, John. He was patient and friendly throughout the entire trip. Even though it was a cloudy day, he went above and beyond to help us find the best possible spots to catch a view of Mount Fuji, which we really appreciated. Pickup was punctual, the car was clean and comfortable, and he was very accommodating with toilet breaks along the way. I’d recommend this service for individuals looking for private transport to check out Mount Fuji and the Gotemba factory outlet mall.
