Trapiche & coffee field: A “trapiche” is a mill which with the assistance of animals, is used to extract the juice of any fruit that comes from the earth like: corn, sugar cane. You will be able to taste the delicious Costa Rican typical food. Waterslide Adventure: Before you know if you will be rushing down a 400-meter long slide straight down into a pool. Hot Springs & Mud Baths: Indulge in a mineral rich volcanic mud bath or wade in the hot springs . Hanging bridges: Ascend into the forest canopy for a peaceful hike along a series of hanging bridges that criss-cross different levels of this incredibly rich ecosystem.

This was our first of 2 excursions while staying in Costa Rica and it was incredible. The ride into Buena Vista was awesome with incredible views of the volcanos and mountains. Our tour guide, 'Cibi,' was an awesome tour guide. He provided a ton of great insights into the history and culture of Costa Rica, its land and resources, people and customs. He walked us through every step of the excursion and was an absolute pleasure to speak with and have great conversation with. He is truly passionate about what he does and his country which really made the excursion even more enjoyable. The horseback riding through the rainforest was a cool experience. Riding horseback through a rainforest would have been something I never thought of doing before this trip. Great way to start our excursion. Next was the culture tour which gave a really personal experience into the culture of Costa Rica - making pottery, coffee, sugar cane farming, and more. It was really insightful to get a glimpse into the lives of the 'Tico's' and 'Ticas' of Costa Rica. BTW, I don't like coffee but Costa Rican coffee is a game changer. After trying it at the culture tour, I bought 2 bags of coffee grounds to take back home. The Zip Line was absolutely awesome. The views were incredible! We got to zip line across 7 different lines which were great. By far the best zip lining I've ever done. The lunch served on this excursion was fantastic. They took us to an exclusive lunch restaurant available only to us as the tourists and the restaurant was outdoors overlooking the mountains which was really jaw dropping. The food was incredible - a full service Costa Rican inspired meal that was better than I could have imagined. The last stop was the natural sauna and hot springs which was so cool. We got to sit in a natural hot sauna, bathe in mountain mud (cooler than it sounds) and then relax in the naturally heated hot spring baths in the middle of the rainforest. Plus they put a bar next to the natural sauna so you can sip on a cold Pina Colada or margarita while relaxing in the warm springs water. Overall, this excursion was a true taste of Costa Rican paradise that was incredible. I highly recommend this excursion to anyone looking to get a true taste of Costa Rica's culture and beauty!
