Costa Azul is one of the most recognized surfing areas in Los Cabos, where Pacific swells create waves suitable for a wide range of skill levels. Its consistent conditions and scenic coastline make it an ideal place to learn, practice, and experience Baja California Sur’s surf culture. What makes this private lesson unique is the personalized instruction. Surfing involves much more than standing on a board—it requires understanding wave movement, timing, positioning, and ocean awareness. Your instructor adapts the lesson to your experience level, helping you build confidence and improve technique at a comfortable pace. Beyond catching waves, this experience offers a deeper connection to the ocean and local surf culture. By the end of the lesson, you'll leave with new skills, greater confidence, and a better understanding of the relationship between wave energy, coastal geography, and the art of surfing.

Pickup Locations & Times
• Complimentary round-trip transportation is available from hotels in Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, and the Tourist Corridor • If your hotel is not listed, feel free to contact us so we can check transportation availability for your area • Guests arriving with their own vehicle may meet directly at Costa Azul Beach (Zippers Parking Area), where the surfing lesson begins from the beach • Hotels outside the main tourist area, including Hard Rock, Nobu, Rancho San Lucas, Diamante, or Four Seasons, are not included in complimentary transportation and will meet at Plaza Gali OXXO in Cabo San Lucas • Cruise guests will also meet at Plaza Gali OXXO, approximately 3–5 minutes walking from the marina exit. Detailed walking directions will be provided with your confirmation message • Cabo San Lucas cruise arrivals operate using tender boats, which may take additional time depending on port operations. We strongly recommend taking the earliest tender available or booking priority tender service whenever possible • Guests who miss transportation or arrive late must arrive directly at Costa Azul Beach before the activity start time at their own expense

- Private surf lessons allow more personalized coaching, pacing, and wave selection depending on skill level and guest preferences
- Suitable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced surfers with coaching adapted to skill level and ocean conditions
- Surf lessons require basic comfort in the water and moderate physical activity
- Wetsuits available upon request during winter months in XL, LG, M, and SM
- Travelers requesting specific surfboard sizes or fiberglass boards should contact us at least 24 hours in advance
- Instructor ratio 1:3
- Observer/companion spots require advance reservation and additional transportation fee. Observer option does not include surfboard or surf lesson participation
- Surf lessons operate seasonally approximately from March 15 through November 15 based on seasonal swell conditions
- Morning departures are usually recommended for cleaner and more consistent surf conditions
- This experience requires favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to unsafe weather, ocean conditions, or operational restrictions, guests will be offered an alternative date or full refund
- No locker facilities are available, but belongings may usually remain inside the transportation vehicle during the activity
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems, pregnancy, or serious heart conditions
- Participants under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not allowed
- Medical refund requests require an official same-day doctor’s certificate and prior notification before activity start time

We took our family of 6, kids ages 11-17. We had the best time with Allen and Luis. Finding the car at the port was easy. They were so friendly! We felt welcome and safe in and out of the water. We all caught wave after wave and had the best time! Highly recommend Luis and Allen. They were great with our kids and taught us so much. Thank you!

Sol, Luis, and Alan were amazing and made sure everyone had a great time in some pretty steep waves. They were accommodating to a wide range of levels and kept a great atmosphere up despite the best efforts of some urchins and jellyfish. Great time, recommend to all!!
