We had a truly wonderful experience! Aki is a kind, patient, and delightful host. The food we made was excellent and we continue to make it at home thanks to the lovely little cooking sheets we got to take with us! I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kyoto.
Our cooking class with Aki was a total delight and one of our favorite moments in our trip. We were already into of Japanese food and cooking and found the class very informative and the food absolutely delicious. Aki speaks excellent English and it felt like an honor for her to share her home and cooking techniques. We’ve learned a bunch of dishes that we will make it home. She is very kind and fun, never tired of our endless questions and gave us 1 million tips. We cannot recommend this experience high enough.
Cooking with Aki in her family home was a truly wonderful personal experience. The dishes we made using seasonal ingredients were delicious. Aki was a wonderful host who share her knowledge with great kindness. We had the best time cooking and eating with Aki.
Amazing class with a remarkably sweet Aki. Aki's fluent English and relaxed atmosphere made us feel at home. Her handwritten cooking receipe and menu was so elegant and chic. And the food, ah, the food...terrific!
We enjoyed this memorable culinary experience. The welcome and cuisine were excellent and our host was very educational.
This was a delightful experience! We felt comfortable, welcome, and at ease the entire time. This was a 'hands-on' experience, as we all took part in the preparation and cooking. We definitely learned enough to be able to introduce some of the recipes and elements into our own cooking.
Aki's cooking class was an absolute joy from start to finish! She not only taught us how to make numerous delicious dishes, but she taught us about Japanese culture as well. My husband, kids (18 & 20 years old) and I enjoyed every minute of our time in Aki's beautiful family home. She was also able to accommodate my kids' tree nut and fish allergies. Definitely one of the top three things that we did on our two week trip to Japan! Thank you for making our 30th wedding Anniversary so memorable Aki!
What an incredible experience! Aki was delightful and well prepared. She welcomed us into her home and the food was delicious. The laughs and conversation flowed, and the session was a highlight of our trip!
Wonderful experience with Aki in her home. Amazing vibes, amazing food. The highlight of our Kyoto stay for sure. She is very kind and patient with cooking instructions and gave us great recommendations for things to do later!
Aki was phenomenal, she spoke great English, helped us make so much food with tons of leftovers, and spoke great English. Highly recommend.
