Our driver will come and pick you up at the lobby hotel. Please be ready with hat and sun scream. You have chance to visit the old Hoi An city with Japanese bridge, Chinese Assembly hall, Old houses..... We will then head to Cam Thanh Village, which was a fishing village, a shelter for local and Viet Cong during the war. When you arrive the village, local people will help you to get on basket boat (coracle) for a funny 1hour-ride. You will have chance to: - Experience the most unique transportation in town, basket boat. - Visit the fishing village in Water Coconut Palm, and then try to catch crabs with local fishermen - Learn how to paddle the Vietnamese bamboo basket boat. Explore the tranquil coconut palm flanked waterway of the past war. - Have local foods for lunch/ dinner Transfer to land and back to hotel. End of tour. Minimum 2 people per booking.

Cam Thanh Coconut Village is located about 5km from the southeast of the Hoi An Old Town, Quang Nam, Viet Nam. The existence of the craft of making coconut paintings and the water coconut forest ecosystem Cam Thanh has created a cultural space to attract domestic and foreign tourists to visit, sightseeing or study.
Hoi An Ancient Town is also famous for its unique traditional festivals, such as the Fortune God Festival, ceremonies for craft ancestors, and celebrations for religious saints. Folk games like Ho Khoan, Ho Gia Gao, and Bai Choi are also popular here. The locals in Hoi An are exceptionally friendly and hospitable, always willing to lend a hand when needed. In addition to enjoying the town’s charming beauty, a visit to Hoi An Ancient Town offers the chance to explore a blend of Eastern cultures from Vietnam, Japan, and China. This vibrant multicultural town, founded over 200 years ago, was once a bustling trading port during the Nguyen Dynasty.

We began with a walking tour of the old historic town, and our guide, Tea, took us into several religious sites. We later drove to the Coconut Forest for our basket ride. Our guide was lots of fun, and sang, and helped us catch baby crabs. Then we were served a great Vietnamese lunch, and drank coconut milk out of the coconuts the proprietor cut open for us. Tea was sometimes hard to understand, but was super-nice and did her best. She helped us buy souvenirs, and always held my wife’s hand while walking in the busy streets.

Excellent dual visits to the ancient city of Hoi An (which is beautiful and very interesting) - with the tour including all the “must see” places - followed by a boat trip through the coconut forest with entertaining paddlers and concluding with a very tasty lunch. The tour guide, Tea, was informative, friendly, funny and genuinely good company. We would highly recommend this tour!

Just back from a great trip! Absolutely beautiful countryside/river views all involved are wonderful. Especially our Captain! We had a go at rowing, fishing for crabs, singing and we were even made 'Cricket rings' This is a must do little trip for any traveller, young or old.

Great fun! From the welcome we received to our amazing (and hilarious) boat drivers this tour was well above what we expected. What took a little to get our heads around was the contrast between the beautiful coconut plantations and the masses of tourists bobbing in the water with gangnam style blasting out down the river. It was certainly an experience.

Greeted with a welcome drink at this little family owned service. Had an absolute blast on the basket boat ride our guide was hilarious…. We stopped for photo so prepare if you want to buy … only d70,000 nicely printed and presented in a folder… well worth getting…. This is a must short tour for anyone visiting Hoi An… especially if you want to get away from big bus tours… picked up and dropped off from our hotel. Ended the tour with a coffee from the families coffee shop…

Tour got off to a bad start when company sent a car that stank of cigarettes and our whole family ended up smelling of said tobacco as they couldn’t change the car Coconut boatswere ok but pretty basic. I keep promising myself I won’t use Viator again but I was I did and once again I was disappointed.Betreexto do your homework and book locally rather than using these 3rd party sites
