Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist temple in Hanoi, is located on a small islet in the middle of West Lake (Tay Ho District). With a history spanning over 1500 years, this ancient pagoda is not only a place of worship but also a testament to the rich cultural and religious heritage of Vietnam. You will access the pagoda through its main gate at No. 46, Thanh Nien Street, and enter a peaceful environment dedicated to Amitabha Buddha, Shakyamuni Buddha, and Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. Additionally, there is an altar honoring historical figures such as Guan Yu, Guan Ping, Zhou Shang, and Anathapindika. The serene setting on Golden Fish Island provides a peaceful atmosphere when you look to explore the historical and spiritual significance of Tran Quoc Pagoda.

15 min

Pass by the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, one of Vietnam's most sacred sites, symbolizing national unity. NOTE: WE DO NOT TAKE GUESTS INSIDE THE MAUSOLEUM, as the waiting time for tickets and the long queues would significantly affect the schedule of the tour. If you wish to visit inside, please inform your guide. He/she will explain the process, and you can enter the mausoleum on your own at a time that suits you.

45 min

Discover the thrilling charm of Hanoi Train Street, where massive trains rumble through narrow alleyways, brushing past homes and shops at arm’s length. This iconic street is more than just a place to watch trains—it’s a window into the vibrant daily life of the locals who have adapted to the railway’s presence for decades. Grab a seat at one of the cozy cafes perched right beside the tracks, and feel the rush as the train glides by, turning a simple coffee break into an unforgettable experience. Dive into the rhythm of this living spectacle and capture a unique slice of Hanoi’s spirited urban culture!

Admission included30 min

Hoa Lo Prison, also infamously known as the "Hanoi Hilton," stands as a powerful testament to Vietnam’s turbulent history. Located at 1 Hoa Lo Street, Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hoan Kiem District in the heart of Hanoi, this former French colonial prison was originally built to detain political dissidents during the French occupation. Later, during the Vietnam War, it housed American prisoners of war. Today, the Hoa Lo Prison Relic provides visitors with an authentic glimpse into the harrowing conditions endured by its inmates, earning it the notorious reputation of being "hell on earth." Through evocative displays and haunting reconstructions, visitors can witness the dark past of this historic site and the unbreakable resilience of those who once lived within its walls. A visit to Hoa Lo Prison is an unforgettable journey through history, offering a somber reflection on the cost of war and the indomitable spirit of those who endured.

15 min

Experience the magnificent facade of the Hanoi Opera House, an architectural masterpiece inspired by Paris's iconic Palais Garnier. Discover the rich history and cultural significance of this landmark as your guide unveils captivating stories of its past and present. Today, it serves as a premier venue for art and music, hosting a diverse range of performances that celebrate Vietnam’s vibrant cultural heritage.

15 min

Long Bien Bridge, an architectural marvel designed by Gustave Eiffel—the visionary behind the iconic Eiffel Tower—stands as a symbol of resilience and history in Hanoi. Spanning the mighty Red River, this historic bridge has witnessed over a century of change, from colonial times through to the modern era. Its rusted steel structure and intricate latticework are a testament to both engineering prowess and artistic beauty. A walk across Long Bien Bridge offers not only stunning views of the river and surrounding landscapes but also a deep sense of connection to the past, making it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the soul of Vietnam.

30 min

Discover the excitement of Hanoi at Dong Xuan Market, the city's largest and most iconic indoor marketplace. Nestled in the Old Quarter, this bustling market is a treasure trove of local flavors and unique finds. Wander through its maze-like corridors to explore a diverse array of stalls selling everything from fresh produce and fragrant spices to traditional Vietnamese garments, souvenirs, and handicrafts. The lively atmosphere is filled with the chatter of vendors, the aroma of street food, and the colorful display of goods, offering a true sensory experience.

Hanoi Walking Tour

Had an amazing time with our tour guide Tom - very knowledgeable, funny, and personable. Our favorite guide on our trip through Vietnam. He gave us some flexibility on this tour to stop at places we wanted to see. He was so well informed on all the places he stopped to show us. The experience would not have been this good without him. Amazing experience.
