Salwa was a great guide for me and my 13 year old daughter. She was knowledgeable and her pace was comfortable. She was also understanding when we wanted to skip a stop (shopping). Our driver's car was clean and cool in the June heat. We enjoyed the lunch at the end and we're able to head back to the hotel before the hottest part of the day began. I'm so glad we saw the sites of the West Bank as an intro to our trip to Egypt.
Salwa and Abdul were absolutely fantastic. Everything went smoothly and we would highly recommend this tour 😊
This was the best tour I had in Egypt. Baghat was so so knowledgeable and so passionate, he left no stone unturned in his explanations of heiroglyphs and ancient Egyptian history. He let me take my time and answered all the questions I had. Such a polite and respectful tour guide with a love for history and a love for his country. I would recommend him to anyone visiting Luxor :) he will not disappoint.
My guide ruined my travel mood by talking about sex in the car. I wanted to know more about Egypt's history, but I was very disappointed not to understand what it really meant. Travel companies like this should be eliminated, and I don't recommend them.
Twenty-five years ago I was in the Valley of the Kings, among other places, a great experience at the time. Today the trip was a nasty disappointment. The pickup was 35 minutes late. I had a special German Tour guide booked, besides getting tickets, he has not done much. He stepped on the accelerator, for two graves we had only 30 minutes, that was impossible to create. We didn't let ourselves be bullied, and we took the time which we needed. We never had the booked tour. Hatshepsut Temple was only visible from the outside, 5 meters behind the Entrance was closed, the interior was not accessible. We went on to the Memnon Colossi, they don't charge admission. Afterwards we had lunch at the restaurant Paris, typical Tourinepp. Drinks considerably more expensive than on the Nile. We were not allowed on the roof terrace, indoors there was an enormous noise level. The food was creepy, among other things, chefs were not grilled, but came in a boiling broth. The ordered French fries only arrived after three Memory. The included bottle of water was only available after 3 hours, we had prepared ourselves. Driver and passenger have been talking in Arabic all the journeys, We didn't think that was particularly polite. Instead of 5.5 hours as stated, the tour lasted only 4.5 hours. Conclusion: Buy your own tickets and take the rides with InDrive, sneer cheap.
Before the tour, I had to beg the tour company for information. Instead of them writing to me, I asked them if there were any changes regarding tomorrow. They said they don't share phone numbers for security reasons. I understand that, but they should have informed me the day before for confirmation. After all, this is a famous country. The driver, Muhammed, was a little late, but that wasn't a big deal because he was a very kind person. We met our guide Aiad (I hope that's how it's spelled) in the Valley of the Kings. Then we went to the Valley of the Queens and then to the giant statues of Memnon. He could read hieroglyphs, practically gave me a lesson in Egyptian mythology before we even entered the venues, his English was good and he was very knowledgeable, plus he was a lovely person. However, he never offered to take any photos; I only managed to get him to take a few pictures after much pleading. I'm deducting one star both because the tour company didn't contact me beforehand without asking and because of this photo issue. However, I would still recommend joining this tour. Notes: The best time for this trip is February, but even though I went in mid-March, the weather was still 30 degrees Celsius. It will be even hotter in April because this city is in the south.
Had a fabulous tour with Ayman to the Valley of the Kings etc. He is fabulously knowledgeable and communicated his knowledge clearly. We added on the Workers' Village onto the trip which was not only an interesting contrast to the Valley of the Kings but an impressive and beautiful location in its own right. Lunch was at the Restaurant Paris, serving lovely local cuisine. Would thoroughly recommend.
Baghat was an excellent tour guide with amazing knowledge and passion. His English was very good and he explained everything to us in an easily understandable way. He has a strong passion for Egypt and its history, he provided many interesting facts along these lines. You will be very lucky if Baghat is your tour guide, especially as he is ‘Thutmose lll grandson’ 😁
We spent the morning with Salwa who is a super guide. She explained very well and she answered to all our questions. The driver drove carefully. Thank you to both of them.
We had a lovely time with our guide, Baghat. He was very knowledgeable, funny, and could speak several languages. He let us have plenty of time at the sites. Logistics went as expected.
