Private half-day tour to Golden Stones Beaujolais with tastings

Description
Discover the charm of southern Beaujolais, often called the "Tuscany of France," with its rolling hills, vineyards and picturesque villages built from warm golden stone. Just north of Lyon, this lush, hilly region is also celebrated worldwide as the birthplace of Beaujolais Nouveau. Join our driver-guide for a cultural and gourmet adventure through scenic wine landscapes and panoramic roads in the Pierres Dorées area. As you travel through vineyards and valleys, admire views over the famous golden-stone villages and learn about the “terroir” that makes each appellation unique. Your first stop will take you to a charming family-run winery in the heart of the Pierres Dorées, where you will meet the producer, visit the estate and enjoy a tasting with a traditional mâchon of local cold meats and cheeses. You will then continue towards Montmelas, in the Beaujolais Villages appellation, to visit a second family-owned winery and enjoy a generous tasting of authentic Beaujolais wines.

Excellent guide. The vineyards visited are distinctly different. The wines and explanations are all very good. The scenery is very good.
Very interesting wine tour in Beaujolais with top-notch guides: Romain and François did a remarkable job and taught us the basics of Beaujolais designations. The two wineries we visited welcomed us very warmly, and the wines were delicious. With the brief visit to the wonderful village of Oingt, it was a very pleasant morning! Would do it again!!
Great trip to a beautiful village and very good wine. Spent an afternoon tasting red, rose and whites.
Thank you very much for your kind review. We’re glad you enjoyed the beautiful countryside and village, as well as the afternoon tasting red, rosé, and white wines. It was a pleasure to share this wine experience with you. The Tasty Lyon Team
We cannot say enough about this amazing experience. Our tour guide Clem was outstanding. She was extremely knowledgeable friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time at 2 different wineries for tastings in Oingt a charming town where we met Dominique who had vines over 100 years old that were planted by his grandfather Do not hesitate to book this tour and ask for Clem!!
Thank you for this wonderful review. We are delighted that your time in Oingt, the tastings at two wineries, and your meeting with Dominique made the experience so memorable. Your kind words about Clemence mean a great deal, and we will be sure to share them with her. The Tasty Lyon Team
Rachel was a very knowledgeable guide across a range of aspects about French history and Lyon. She was also all over wine and the wine making process. We really enjoyed Rachel’s guide and would highly recommend the afternoon Golden Stones tour.
Thank you very much for your kind review. We are delighted to hear that Rachel’s knowledge of French history, Lyon, and the winemaking process made your afternoon in the Golden Stones region so enjoyable. It means a lot to know you would highly recommend the tour. We will be sure to share your lovely feedback with her. The Tasty Lyon Team
We were picked up on time from right outside our hotel. We were able to take a walk through the city before taking the bus to a golden stones village where we ate and tasted wine. Rachel our guide was so knowledgable, shared a lot about wine and the region and was so interesting. We then went to a beautiful little village where we could explore and then to the winery. That was my favourite part. Introduction to how the wine is made, meeting the wine maker, eating and drinking the local wine and produce. Rachel was a wonderful guide, loved spending time with her and learning about wine and Lyon. Thank you for a fabulous day!
Sheila was amazing! Beautiful location, great history of vineyards. Excellent and easy to drink wines! Dominique Gillard and his wife were adorable! Thank you all!
This tour is GREAT! The views were stunning. Perfectly timed half-day tour. The vineyard was welcoming and the medieval town was picturesque. Raphael was extremely knowledgeable and a great guide. Highly recommend.
Great private wine tastings too! Nice day. Beautiful scenic viewpoint stop. Easy travel and nice that it was 4 hours vs. 8
Yank was very kind and organized a great afternoon for us. We really lived seeing the Beaujolais district and the wine tasting.
