The journey will continue to visit Jagatnatha Temple, the temple built in east of Puputan Badung square garden is a public shrine to worship for Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa (called for Hindu god). Our last trip is visiting Bali Museum, to preserve the ancient and historical objects that have a noble culture values and a legacy of Balinese ancestors. Bajra Sandhi Monument architecture is very unique, taking the shape of Bajra or Genta, a bell that used by Hindu Priests during religious ceremonies. It is also a symbol of the bond between males and females that creates prosperity according to the epic that tells the story of the Gods struggle to get the Water of Eternity. Every statue and each carving in the monument compound has its own meaning.
Badung Traditional Market or Pasar Badung in the local tongue, is considered the largest traditional market in Bali. It seemingly never sleeps, functioning as the main source of fresh produce among locals. Regular stalls open well before the break of dawn, with a daily flow of fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers from suppliers in farming regions in the central highlands and elsewhere, and often stay open well after midnight, creating a night market scene. The market comprises an open and spacious ground level area adjoining its parking space, and a four-storey building (currently under repair following a recent fire) that houses dozens of shops selling mostly non-perishable goods, such as batiks and other fabrics, household items, kitchen utensils and farming tools. The former is more attractive and most visited, with its vibrant rows of stalls selling fresh tropical fruits, flowers, meats and poultry, and other groceries.
Pura Jagatnatha or Jagatnatha Temple is built in 1953 and is dedicated to the supreme god, Sanghyang Widi Wasa, the supreme of divine gatherings. The name Jagatnatha derives its origin from the Sanskrit word jagat meaning world. Two festivals based on lunar cycles are celebrated here every month. During the days of full moon and new moon, visiting this temple during these times can be a memorable experience. No matter what time you visit this magnificent temple you will always find devotees in prayer.
The museum officially opened for public on 08th December 1932, named the Bali Museum and managed by the Bali Museum Foundation. On 17th August 1945 the Bali Museum was taken over by the Provincial Government of Bali and later on 05th January 1965 it was submitted to the Central Government under Directorate General of Education and Culture Ministry and it was named the Bali Province State Museum.

From researching this outing through to the booking and doing the half day tour we have experienced exceptional service right the way through. Our tour guide was Aditya. He provided an amazing tour for us. He arrived early which was great as I literally booked this in the morning and was keen to go. Aditya was enthusiastic, friendly, very knowledgeable and keen to share his local knowledge and experiences with us throughout the tour as well as providing opportunities for my husband and I to walk on our own for parts of the tour. He helped us to navigate the other people along the way who also wanted to share their knowledge during the temple tour. The venues we visited were stunning and Aditya very kindly took some beautiful photos of us at great locations around the stunning architecture. His commentary during the drive was informative and we felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the day, as if we were travelling with an old friend. Our lunch meal was delicious and again, Aditya, although we offered him to join us, he respectfully declined to give us some privacy to enjoy our meal together. This has been an exceptionally amazing day which exceeded our expectations. Thank you Aditya we will always remember. 🙂
