We loved our Private Half-Day Kayak Experience! Our guide was so kind, warm, and friendly. Even though they didn't paddle out with us, they did a fantastic job explaining everything beforehand, ensuring we were completely comfortable and knew exactly where to go. They also gave us a great lunch recommendation featuring home-grown delicacies. We highly recommend this tour!
Great team and spot to explore the outer islands. Lots of beach stops with fantastic bars and restaurants to enjoy along the way. Very professional team.
My wife and I rented a tandem kayak from Kayak & SUP Hvar to explore the Pakleni Islands. We originally booked one day, enjoyed it so much that we came back for a second day, and it became one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Croatia. The team is highly professional and has a very well-developed process. Before you leave, they carefully explain the equipment, paddling techniques, current weather and sea conditions, recommended routes, and safety considerations. Their local knowledge is outstanding. We simply followed their recommendations each day and had an amazing experience. As experienced paddlers we explored on our own, but if I were paddling with children, as a family, or for the first time, I would definitely choose one of their guided tours. They know the area inside out and can tailor the route to your experience level, helping you get the most out of the day. Both days we received excellent route suggestions. On the first day we visited three different stops, including a tiny sandy bay where we had the beach completely to ourselves and enjoyed fantastic snorkeling. We also had lunch at Palmizana Beach, with its lively marina and relaxed luxury atmosphere. On the second day we stopped at Jerolim Island and discovered the newly opened Magomago restaurant, which felt like a hidden gem. We took our time, swam often, enjoyed long breaks and explored at our own pace. What impressed us most was the feeling of space and tranquility. Some beaches were completely empty, the water was crystal clear, and the scenery was breathtaking. The Pakleni Islands offer a wonderful combination of secluded coves, beautiful nature, beach bars and restaurants ranging from simple and laid-back to elegant and vibrant. We personally loved exploring the quieter corners of the islands. The equipment was excellent. The tandem kayak was comfortable and in great condition. We were provided with a large dry bag, snorkeling equipment and a GPS tracker, which gave us additional peace of mind knowing the team could monitor our route if needed. Their attention to safety was evident throughout. They even offered to escort paddlers across the channel between Hvar and the Pakleni Islands if the conditions or boat traffic made anyone feel uncomfortable, even for those exploring independently. A practical tip: wear clothing suitable for water sports that can get wet, bring a hat, sunscreen, snacks and plenty of drinking water. If you’re planning a full-day adventure like we did (around 10 a.m. to 5–6 p.m.), 1.5 liters of water per person is a sensible minimum, especially on warm summer days. The sea breeze and frequent swimming keep you surprisingly comfortable even in strong sunshine. The location is also very convenient, just a short walk along the waterfront from Hvar’s main harbor, close to Hotel Amfora, making it easy to find. If you want to experience Croatia’s stunning coastline, crystal-clear Adriatic Sea and beautiful islands in an active yet peaceful way, this is an experience I wholeheartedly recommend. Thank you to the entire Kayak & SUP Hvar team for two unforgettable days!
Wgat a lovely way to explore the surroundings in Hvar. Row, swim, eat, repeat. Just loved this activity.
My wife and I just rented the kayaks and crossed the channel on our own in 34 minutes the our first beach. No problem at all. They gave us a map and explained routes, good destinations to visit, and snorkels and dry bags. We had a couple beers at the beach bars while our kayaks laid pulled ashore. It was an adventure! So glad we did it on our own instead with a group. Better that way!
Strenuous kayak trip but worth the work out! It took us 40 mins to safely reach Palektin Isle where a nice beach and swim area is available to all. Bars - eateries there too. Water refreshing!
We kayaked to the Pakleni islands on a private guided tour with our 6 year old. Our guide Esteban was fantastic and made us feel confident in the water. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour, it’s a great way to see the islands!!
