Wonderful day! Reached out to Robin pretty last minute and he was able to work around his schedule to accommodate us (group of 5) which we were very grateful for. He planned our itinerary taking into account everything we wanted to see and he gave us suggestions on highlights to see as well. Fun day at Blarney Castle, Cork, and Jameson Distillery. He made sure to have us back to our ship for departure time and took that into consideration throughout the day. We would highly recommend Robin and will definitely book another tour with him if we are in the area again! Thanks, Robin!
This tour with Robin was superb. Vehicle was very comfortable. He narrated along the way and showed us maps game. A few comments on my ancestry were different relatives were from as we drove around. He listened to what we were interested in and created an original beautiful day for us the place he dropped us off for lunch was superb. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
We had a great time with Robin. Saw so many wonderful sights. The memorial to 911 first responders was surprising and moving. Would highly recommend!!!
First and foremost, Robin was the absolute BEST! He was professional, polite, full of knowledge and he was very accommodating. He asked what we wanted to do, and took us to some incredible sights that we didn’t know about. If a person wants the very best, ask for Robin. Robin, if you read this. Thank you for a wonderful day in Cobh/Cork! Dan S. Oklahoma, USA
Our comfortable Mercedes van ride with our Guide Ambrose was great. Private is much better over the buses as you can cover more places and get ahead of the crowds. Be sure to get off the boat as soon as possible and head straight for Blarney Castle and be one of the first in line through the gate and head straight for the castle itself as the lines get very long quickly. Then explore the rest of the grounds after the castle. There is also a cafe on site. Do be aware they do not accept AMEX for the main gate tickets. But do accept cash or other cards. We headed to the English Market next for lunch and just to see the market. Be aware the market can be very crowded and not suited for those who not very mobile. Some of the vendors take AMEX while others do not. Have cash (Euro) or Visa. Our next stop was the Jameson Distillery and the highlight of our trip. We are not huge drinkers but it was neat seeing the old process and actually seeing (and smelling) the barrels. We also did the premium tasting which adds an extra 25 minutes but a nice add on. Some of their premium brands cannot be shipped or bought in the US so get what you want there. Nice trip!
We had a cruise stop and opted for a private tour so we could go at our own pace. We had a wonderful time at Blarney castle and the other local sights. Our tour guide suggested a great place for lunch, right off the beach- ir was a perfect day.
